IGEM-Clsb-Uk A page dedicated to the CLSB iGEM team and to documenting our efforts in attempting to increase the efficiency of Biological Photovoltaic Cells

This year ten boys from the junior sixth at CLS (Clemens Von Stengel, Jake Mendel, Michael O'Connor, Naail Kashif-Khan, Cameron Anderson, Freddie MacBruce, James Ng, Jake Hung, Gulzar Uddin, and Elias Manuelides) are entering the International Genetically Engineered Machines Competition. Our task is simple: to genetically engineer an organism so that it can solve some problem faced by humanity. We

have decided to focus on Biological Solar Panels, which use energy from photosynthesis to drive a current. The main event is held in MIT in October, where we get to show off our work to the judges and fellow teams.
