Ross Flight Sound Sound designer, engineer and interactive technologist, with 10 years experience working in professional, educational and corporate environments.

I am sound designer, engineer and technician that has been working in both professional, educational and corporate environments for the last 10 years. After completing my BA Hons in Creative Music Technology with Digital Arts I moved to Brighton where I worked in a studio complex of a higher education college, as well as playing in bands and pursuing my own creative practice. After moving to Lon

don in 2012 I began working at the Barbican Centre, managing all technical aspects of their Creative Learning department. I gained experience in project and production management, event co-ordination and artist liaison. I also worked in the Barbican Theatre, supervising productions and carried out technical work in the sound and AV department. I am currently pursuing a freelance career primarily in sound and interactive system design as well as sound engineering, sound operation and technical production work. opened its doors for the first time this weekend. A brand new multi million pound venue in Prescot, it's theatre in over 300 years.

I was invited by Abigail Conway to design the soundtrack to a performance installation throughout the week, with members of the community creating their own hand dipped candles encasing their own personal message. This concluded with a ceremony on Sunday night where audience were invited to sit and watch the candles burn, eventually revealing the messages left behind.

On Sunday we had a live choir (the first group of singers ever in the space) followed by a collection of community choir songs, mixed live by myself, drowned in reverb and effects to create a meditative atmosphere for audience just to sit, watch and contemplate.
