🎉 2026 marks 20 YEARS of BSPS Ltd! 🎉

Two decades ago, my father Peter and I founded BSPS with a simple belief: every client deserves outstanding personal service, quality workmanship, and a contractor they can trust.

From our very first project to the iconic buildings we work on today, that belief hasn’t changed.

Over the next few months, we’ll be looking back at some of the projects, people and partnerships that have defined our journey, from Tower Bridge to The Royal Exchange, from London Business School to The Lanesborough Hotel, and so many more.

Scaffolding coming down and the building is finally revealing itself.

After months behind the screens, we’re now stripping back the scaffold on this 18th century Mayfair corner property, and the transformation is something we’re genuinely proud of. What was once concealed is now starting to speak for itself! Clean lines, sharp detailing, and craftsmanship that respects the building’s history.

Every element you now see has been carefully considered, from the reinstated lime render and repaired masonry, through to the restored architectural features that define this façade. The result is not just a visual upgrade, but a building that is structurally sound, breathable, and built to perform for decades to come.

We’ll be sharing full elevation shots shortly as the last sections come down but for now, a first look at the reveal.

🚧 New Project Alert 🚧

We’re pleased to announce that BSPS has been appointed to deliver external masonry and maintenance works at 25–27 Oxford Street, London.

The project includes specialist façade repairs, masonry and mortar joint works, leadwork and associated external maintenance to ensure the long-term integrity and safety of this prominent mixed-use building.

We’re looking forward to getting started and working collaboratively with the wider project team to deliver these works safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption in a busy city-centre location.

✨ Project Update | 75–77 Margaret Street ✨

Progress continues at our 75–77 Margaret Street project, where the installation of the new roof lanterns is now nearing completion.

These lanterns are set to bring a huge amount of natural light into the space below, completely changing the look and feel of the interior as the works progress.

🏡 Project Completion | Merrow Street, SE17

Located just moments from Elephant and Castle, 280–286 Merrow Street is a charming collection of cottages offering a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. BSPS were delighted to be appointed to deliver a full extension and refurbishment of the properties, enhancing comfort, functionality and modern living standards while preserving their original character ✨

The works included new drainage installations, cottage refurbishments and extensions, along with the creation of upgraded rear gardens, providing improved outdoor space for residents 🌿 Internally, the homes were transformed with new kitchens and bathrooms throughout, delivering practical, contemporary living spaces designed for modern lifestyles.

A comprehensive M&E package formed a key part of the project, incorporating new heating systems, bathrooms and shower rooms, kitchen services, upgraded lighting and small power installations to fully support the refurbished properties ⚡

One of the key challenges was achieving drainage sign-off, requiring careful coordination and strict compliance. Through close collaboration and proactive problem-solving, the team successfully navigated this process and kept the project on track 💪

The result is a high-quality residential refurbishment that delivers improved functionality, comfort and long-term value for its new residents. A fantastic outcome for everyone involved 👏

💫Project Update: Progress at New Square 🏗️
 
Works are ongoing to numbers 1, 2 & 3 New Square, including essential masonry, joinery, leadwork, and roofing repairs and renewals. Following 11 weeks of manufacturing, we are looking forward to mid-January when seven handmade chimney pots are due to be installed on number 1 New Square.
 
Over at 4–6 New Square, all existing Yorkstone to the light wells has been lifted and re-laid to the correct falls, with each stone being meticulously returned to the exact spot from where it was lifted to maintain the heritage of the site.
 
The momentum continues into February, with scaffolding due to be erected at 4 New Square and external decorations commencing at numbers 1 & 2.

We’re proud to share the successful completion of our New Bond Street refurbishment 🏗️✨

Located in one of London’s most prestigious retail districts, the project involved the careful refurbishment of a part Grade II listed property, formed from two historic buildings dating back to 1890 and 1914. The focus throughout was on protecting the building’s heritage while delivering essential structural and performance upgrades.

Works included replacing the 4th-floor and retail-unit roofs, repairing the slate mansard roof, relining the 4th-floor gutter, and carrying out façade cleaning, repointing, stonework repairs, chimney works, and structural repairs to the rear elevations.

A comprehensive M&E package was also delivered, including redesign and relocation of services, remedial works to the water tank, and new footing systems for condensers and the main AHU unit ⚙️

Completed within a constrained urban environment with shared access and strict noise restrictions, the refurbishment was carefully coordinated to minimise disruption, resulting in a high-quality outcome that preserves the building’s historic character while enhancing its long-term performance 👏

We’re delighted to share the completion of our recent project at Canonbury Heights, a contemporary residential development in the desirable Canonbury area of North London. 🌿

The BSPS team delivered a full refurbishment to improve safety, functionality, and comfort for residents, while giving the classic red-brick building a fresh, modern look. ✨ Works included window replacements, upgraded mains cold water systems, a new fire alarm system, and extensive passive fire protection measures. Externally, we carried out masonry and render repairs, redecoration, and installed new vehicle and pedestrian gates to enhance both appearance and security. 🚪

Working within a live residential environment required careful coordination and communication — and the team delivered a high-quality result with minimal disruption. 👏

On Thursday, 09th October, we hosted our End of Summer Party at the Windmill, Mayfair 🍸. It was fantastic to connect with our clients in a relaxed setting and share some great conversations outside of the usual workday.
