Can you install solar panels on a block of flats? 🏢

If so, how do you ensure that each flat gets it's fair share of the electricity generated?

In this episode of 'Positive Energy - powered by The Eco Experts' - we spoke to Ramin Hakimov of Allume Energy about SolShare solar power sharing systems.

This is welcome news, as the increased by 5% this month compared to October 2023, spelling a difficult start to the winter for many….

New year, new 🌸 But before that, let’s look back at some of the environmental milestones that happened in 2023 – the good, the bad and the ugly.

Tatiana takes us through the booming year for , a sweaty 12 months due to and (despite elon musks attempts to make options seem kinda wild with the Cybertruck) 365 days of electric vehicle wins.

2023 was a bumper year for upgrades in the uk, but why? 🤔

Reports show that both and saw amazing growth in the uk market over the last 12 months, suggesting that many homeowners and residents may be interested in decarbonising their power usage in general, but it’s also very likely that the whopping rise in gas and electricity bills during the must have swayed some individuals.

We also saw the government offering to sweeten the deal a little with their (see our last video by Josh for more coverage on that whole situation…)

If you made the swap last year, what was your deciding factor? 👀

This is so sad 😭😭😭

We hate to see at any time of year, but it seems even sadder at christmas, when its at fever pitch. It can be really hard to not go wild in the isles, grabbing things that aren’t on the list “just in case” - but sadly a lot of those last minute additions end up thrown away barely touched.

I’d love to know if anyone managed to make their lunch leftovers into another meal the next day? There are some stunning online for anyone looking to cut down on what ends up in the bin before the new year ☀️

Is it hot in here or is that just me? 🥵

Look, while the scheme fumble might not be the headline breaking news of 2023, it’s raising the temperature over here with the eco experts team. So let’s discuss:

In October the government raised its grant from £5,000 to £7,000, and is now taking a victory lap with the results. But is this even warrented?! 🤔

Today Josh is investigating just how successful the government has been.

Are these the results the great British public deserve? Or perhaps, a little bit of media spin…..

Hot World Summer: Was 2023 the warmest year on record? 🌍

Europe’s climate monitor has stated that 2023 WILL BE the hottest year on record, and they aren’t keeping it quiet at (drag themm!) 💕

The European Union’s Copernicus Service (C3S) confirmed on Wednesday that 2023 will be the globes “hottest” since records began in the middle of the 19th century.

Before this, 2016 took the top spot, which felt bery bad at the time, but we’ve managed to top that at record speed, which is like, an anti award! 🥇

With the handing oil and gas drilling licenses like its the 70s, many are left confused as to just how dedicated the conservative party are to reaching their own net zero goals.

We often see comments downplaying the uk’s impact on the world whenever we talk about - specifically the “1%” statistic. But is this true? 👀

New research from Carbon Brief sheds light on the UK’s historical legacy of pollution, as well as the documented practice of exporting carbon emissions onto other counties.

Next time you hear someone banding round this 1% statistic, remember to think of the bigger picture 🌍
