In October Kazan (Russia) will host a world-scale event, the World Urban Parks Congress, which is to take place from October 18 to October 20. The main topic of the 2019 Congress is "Parks and Cities — Development for Environmental Sustainability and Health of Citizens". The program includes more than 30 sessions,120 speakers’ presentations, among which there are world stars of the premium size:
■ doctor Kiat W. Tan, Former CEO, Corporate Advisor, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore;
■ Ken Smith, Principal, KEN SMITH WORKSHOP, United States;
■ Tanya Müller García, Founding director, World Urban Parks Former Secretary of Environment in Mexico city, Mexico;
■ Henri Bava, Landscape architect and urbanist, co-founder and chairman, Agence Ter, France;
■ Mary Bowman, Partner, Gustafson Porter + Bowman, United Kingdom.
Сергей Георгиевский (Sergei Georgievskii), CEO of the Agency for Strategic Development "CENTER", will take part in the business program of the Congress. As an expert in the field of territory development he is going to give his speech in the session "The face of a city, the face of a region. How parks turn into tourist attractions". It will take place on October 19 from 10:00 am to 11:15 a.m. In addition, Sergey will take part in the educational track of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, which will be dedicated to the All-Russian competition for the best projects to create a comfortable urban environment in small cities and historical settlements. This track is going to be held within the framework of WUP Congress.
