Redevelopment of Hornsey Police Station: A Modern Transformation
The redevelopment of Hornsey Police Station showcases the potential to transform historic spaces into modern housing. Built in 1884, this iconic station on Tottenham Lane was part of a civic complex that included a fire station and library. Closed in 2021 under City Hall’s cost-saving measures, the site has now been reimagined to provide 29 new homes, blending heritage and modernity.
Under the plans by Koukan Developments, the refurbished station offers six terraced houses and four flats, while two new blocks introduce contemporary housing: a four-storey structure on Tottenham Lane and a three-storey block on Harold Road, providing affordable rental options.
