Great meeting yesterday with Sam Marsh of Trackersack Technologies ☕🏙️
Sometimes you hear about a product and think — that's the future.
Yesterday I sat down with Sam high above the London skyline to talk about exactly that. Trackersack has built something genuinely clever — barcoded waste sacks linked to a live dashboard that tracks every bag from source to disposal. Real data. Real accountability. No greenwashing.
For property managers trying to get serious about ESG reporting, this isn't just a nice idea — it's a practical solution that works at building level, floor by floor.

Early start. Graft. Results. ✅

Just wanted to give a huge personal shout-out to the Rosewater team who carried out this exterior clean in the City of London this week.

Ornate ironwork, stone facades, railings, and surrounding areas — all brought back to their best. It's not glamorous work, but when you step back and see the finished result, it's genuinely satisfying.

This is exactly the kind of job that reminds me why I love what we do. A brilliant team who take real pride in their work — and it shows.

🌍 Happy World Environment Day!

When I started in the cleaning industry over 30 years ago, sustainability wasn't a buzzword — it was common sense. Don't waste what you don't need to. Choose products that do less harm. Work with people who think the same way.

That thinking hasn't changed. If anything, it's become more important.

Took a day off the mop and bucket today… ☀️⛳
Out on the course with some great colleagues — brilliant sunshine, beautiful fairways, and absolutely zero talk of cleaning schedules (well, almost).
Did I win? I prefer to think of myself as the most experienced player on the course and leave it there. The lads know the truth. 😂
Days like this remind you why you work hard — good people, fresh air, and a bit of friendly competition.
Back to it tomorrow. Recharged and ready. 💙

Tonight is the night. ⚽

Wishing Arsenal all the best in the Champions League Final against PSG in Budapest — what an incredible season it's been for the Gunners. Premier League champions AND a Champions League Final in the same year… the first time in 20 years they've made it to the big stage.

As a Londoner, and a lifelong supporter, it would mean everything to see them lift that trophy tonight.

Come on you Gunners! 🔴⚪

Most buildings spend a lot on their floors. Far fewer think about what happens right at the door.

Old habits die hard. 😄
Twenty-five years in this industry and I still can't walk into one of our buildings without checking the cleaning.
Light fittings. Lift tracks. Skirting boards. That corner everyone misses.
Call it obsessive. Call it old-fashioned. I call it standards.
When I started Rosewater, I was the one doing the cleaning myself — early mornings, late nights, just me and a cloth. And even now, visiting a client's building, the cloth still comes out.
Because here's the thing — your clients notice the details. The ones you think nobody sees. And if I notice them, you can be sure their tenants and visitors do too.

Did you know that sugarcane toilet rolls don't use a single tree? 🌿
And here's the stat that really stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it:
🌱 Sugarcane is harvested every 11 months. 🌳 Trees take 30 years.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Sugarcane washroom products are made from bagasse — the fibrous waste left over after the juice has been extracted from the sugarcane plant for the food industry. It's a by-product. It would otherwise go to waste. Not a single tree is felled in the process.
And it gets better:

🧠 Mental Health Awareness Week 2026
At Rosewater, our people don't work in offices — they clean them.
They're the early starters and late finishers. The ones who work quietly in the background while everyone else goes about their day. Often unseen, rarely thanked, but always showing up.
This week, as we mark Mental Health Awareness Week — themed around taking action — we're reminded that action doesn't have to be grand. Sometimes it's as simple as a good morning, a genuine "how are you doing?", or making sure someone knows they're not invisible.
In facilities and cleaning, lone working, irregular hours and physical demands can all take a toll. We make it our business to check in — not just on the buildings we manage, but on the people managing them.
