The community event coincided with the launch of our new ultra-rapid charging site at Callerton Rise Retail Park, helping bring convenient EV charging to local residents, shoppers and visitors.

Representing Zapgo on the day, our COO, Ross Mabon, said:

We're very pleased to have opened our latest ultra-rapid EV charging site at Callerton Rise Retail Park near Newcastle and are offering an introductory tariff of 50p per kWh until 9am on 12 June.

The new site features a 200kW ultra-rapid charger serving two charging bays, giving drivers a convenient place to power up while visiting local businesses including Co-op, Greggs and Harrison Family Vets.

Located just 8 minutes from Newcastle Airport and close to the A1, the site will support local residents, shoppers and motorists travelling through one of the North East's fastest-growing communites.

As EV adoption continues to grow across the region, we're proud to be delivering rapid and reliable charging infrastructure where drivers need it most.

Last month, we were very proud to support the Burscough Cricket, Sports and Social Club vs Lashings World XI Charity Cricket Match, held nearby to our charging site at The Stanley Club, Burscough.

The event brought together hundreds of spectators from Burscourgh and the surrounding area for a fantastic local celebration.

With all proceeds from the match going towards youth development at Burscough Cricket Club, Zapgo is proud to continue playing our part in supporting local communities around our charging sites, having donated ยฃ10,000 to The Stanley Club, Burscough last year to support essential building repairs.

We remain committed to investing in the communities in which we operate and look forward to continuing to support residents and visitors in Burscough over the coming years.
