What can you do while your EV charges? To be honest, quite a lot.

At our Lochmaben site, drivers can plug in while visiting Tesco Express. At Callerton, they can shop at the Co-op or visit Greggs. At Fussels, drivers can explore the Foodie Hub, while at Starbucks Crieff they can grab a coffee and something to eat.

These are all things people would be doing anyway. The difference is that, with charging available at the destination, their vehicle can be adding range at the same time.

We're very pleased to have opened our latest EV charging site at Cartmel Racecourse, bringing rapid and reliable charging to one of Cumbria's best-loved destinations.

The new site features three 100kW rapid chargers serving six charging bays, giving drivers a convenient place to power up while exploring the historic village of Cartmel, the 12th Century Cartmel Priory and the wider South Lakes area.

The site delivers an accessible charging experience for all customers with bays designed to incorporate turning circles for wheelchair users and chargers equipped with contactless card readers which accept all major credit and debit cards.

Whether you’re visiting Cartmel itself or looking to charge up on your way to nearby attractions like Lake Windermere, Holker Hall & Gardens, and Morecambe Bay, come and try out our newest site.

To celebrate the launch of our latest site, drivers can enjoy an introductory price of 50p per kWh for the next week.

One year ago today, the first drivers plugged into our very first ultra-rapid EV charging site at Tesco Express in Lochmaben.

Twelve months later, a lot has changed.

We’ve brought rapid and ultra-rapid charging to community clubs, farm shops, retail parks, coffee shops and garden centres across the UK. We’ve opened our largest charging hub to date in Barrow-in-Furness, launched the Zapgo app, partnered with aggreagtors and made rapid and reliable charging easier than ever to access in the places drivers already spend their time.

None of it would have been possible without the drivers, site partners and communities who have supported us along the way.

So, to celebrate our first birthday, your charging is on us today.

From 09:00 to 17:30 today, Friday 9 October 2026, drivers can charge for free at all Zapgo sites with chargers rated at 100kW or above, when starting their session through the Zapgo app*.

Thank you for being part of our first year. Here’s to the next one.

We’re very pleased to have opened our latest ultra-rapid EV charging site at Klondyke Garden Centre in Livingston.

The new site features a 200kW ultra-rapid charger serving two charging bays, giving drivers a convenient place to power up while exploring the garden centre or stopping for breakfast, lunch or a coffee at the Topiary Coffee Shop.

Located just three minutes from the A71, the site is well placed for local residents and visitors as well as motorists travelling between Edinburgh and Ayrshire.

To celebrate the launch, drivers can charge for an introductory price of just 50p per kWh for the first two weeks from 5 October 2026 until 19 October 2026.

With EV ownership continuing to grow in and around Livingston, we’re proud to be bringing rapid and reliable charging to a popular destination where people will be able to go about their day while their vehicle charges in the background
