Railway Industry Association Urges Government to Publish Rail Network Enhancements Pipeline

The UK's Railway Industry Association (RIA) calls for urgently releasing a Rail Network Enhancements Pipeline (RNEP) plan to boost sector confidence and attract investment. The last plan was published in 2019, with a promise for annual updates that has not been fulfilled.

RIA Chief Executive Darren Caplan stressed the importance of transparency for suppliers, stating, "Five years without a visible pipeline impacts confidence, especially when around $2bn per year of taxpayer funds are allocated for rail projects.

The Railway Industry Association (RIA) has pushed the government again to publish the RNEP plan for the sector to understand its priorities.
