Rumika Chiba attended the launch event of the Institute for Driverless Transport (IfDT).
First, Liam Ward, Director of Venture Café London, introduced how Venture Café supports the UK ecosystem for startups, collaboration, and innovation.
James Hutt, Co-Founder of IfDT, delivered a presentation introducing the organisation and shared research on public attitudes towards autonomous vehicles, conducted in collaboration with Opinium.
IfDT is a new research organisation focused on preparing for the arrival of autonomous vehicles on UK roads, addressing risks such as job displacement and security threats.

After the presentation, attendees chose one of four topics to discuss at the roundtables: (1) Productivity & Economics, (2) Jobs & Work, (3) Social Change, and (4) Security & Geopolitics.
