Cherry Blossom Court

Hand drawn plans are an integral part of Studio NP’s design process. This method allows us to pore over multiple iterations to find the perfect layout for our clients. Working with intricate diagonal shapes can be complex and challenging but also the most rewarding once the configuation is mastered.

This sketching process is the first step in creating bright, spacious homes for our users.

Kitchen/ LV Room design for our project Bala Court, located in Purley, Croydon.

Kitchen islands are one of the most sought-after upgrades for any culinary corner. The island serves as more space to entertain and prepare food while facing into the kitchen and living room space. It allows friends and family to gather round for, share experiences and build memories.

In this particular design Studio NP has provided beautiful putty concrete cabinets to hide all the functions that a kitchen requires as well as quartz countertops.
The addition of natural timber stools placed upon our most popular herringbone floor around the isle, invites our clients to enjoy this space.

Bala Court is located in Purley, Croydon.

Furthering our exploration into our design process of Bala Court, this week we are delving into how Studio NP designs kitchen spaces.

Kitchens are the ‘hub’ of the home, designing a functional, aesthetically pleasing kitchen is as important to us, as to our clients. As kitchens are the first space our clients invite their friends and family into their homes. This space requires an inviting environment. To achieve this we have trialed a variety of materials, colours and flooring designs for our clients to choose from.

Building Process - From the drawing board to completion

Today Studio NP celebrates the flourishing design evolution of Cherry Blossom Court.

This process begins with the old-school pen to paper, sketching our exterior vision of the facade, and ultimately what we envisioned the building will look like.

CGI further elaborates on the surrounding areas’ character and context into the facade through red and white brick aesthetic.

Our trusted contractors followed the design specification carefully to realised our design on-site for the new residents of Coulsdon.

The design process begins with our clients in mind. Studio NP has carefully curated modern bathrooms through exploring different materials, colours and tones through CGI’s formulated by .

This process brings our designs to life to guide our direction when selecting tiles, thus enabling our design team to gauge the most desirable palette for installation.

We've got some exciting news for recent Part 1 graduates looking to gain some architectural design experience!

Our design team at Studio NP are looking for a new intern to join them.

The 3 month internship offers the chance to gain hands-on experience and the chosen candidate will be working closely with the design team, learning about construction and visiting our projects on site.

There is also the potential for the role to develop into a full time architectural assistant.

The internship will focus on residential developments and will offer invaluable exposure and experience of working across all stages of projects.

We've recently waved goodbye to our first ever intern Katherine Ralston who after three months with us, has gone on to find a permanent role at Studio Noam.

We're looking for a motivated candidate who is eager to learn and with a great eye for detail with experience in:

Adobe suite (indesign, photoshop, illustrator)
AutoCAD
SketchUp
Revit (not essential)
Model making and hand drawing skills would be a bonus.

The design of this 7 unit scheme by fits harmoniously on the street, working with the topography of the site and the road, stepping
down in relation to the existing buildings of Bradmore Way.

The prominent gable on one end is echoed in the proposed design whilst the massing and height of the building sits comfortably in its context.

Thr architectural approach has been driven by a desire to create a contemporary interpretation of the overriding arts and crafts styling that is evident on
the road, adding to the eclectic mix that already exists on the street - which gives it its unique character.

A pleasure for Studio NP to have been part of the journey along with a great team of consultants.

Each of our flats are carefully modelled and reviewed using a simple 3D process by Studio NP. This ensures each and every layout works really well within the whole building to provide seamless living spaces. Additionally with private amenity and access to gardens, overlooking the scenic Coulsdon countryside.
