I am leading this build as a Site Foreman, with full responsibility for all structural works, including the entire roofing and carpentry package.
This roof must be executed to the highest standard, as it will remain fully exposed from the room below.
The structure is built using specially ordered timber, planed and prepared for a visible finish, with a focus on precision and clean detailing.
All elements require accurate setting out and precise cuts to achieve both structural integrity and a high-quality architectural result.

Last week we installed the main steel beam, prepped the padstones, and fixed the timber onto the beam to carry the flat roof. We built the flat roof with hand-made falls, exactly as the architect suggested. We set new rafters along the wall to align the brickwork with the roof.

This used to be a bathroom – now it’s becoming a bedroom! 🛏️ That’s why we changed the small bathroom window into a large bedroom window. Above it we built a structural bridge to meet building regs. Next step: build the bay window at the front and push on with the roof. 🔨💪✨

Extension in Wimbledon ✔️ Waterproof flooring with built-in underlay, total thickness 10mm. Skirting boards done, just three door beadings left – and the project is wrapped up! 🔨✨
The next project will be even better – we never give up. 💪🔥

Loft conversion Wimbledon
Another stage of our project completed! ✅ The rear loft structure is now done, and next week we’re lifting the entire bay window up to the second floor 🏗️. Only then we’ll start building the brand-new front Apex Roof with Velux windows 🌟.
The brickwork is finished, the loft structure is moving forward fast 🚀 – and very soon we’ll be laying the natural slate roof 🏠.
All this work is being done by just two of us 💪👷‍♂️👷‍♂️.

The loft conversion project in Wimbledon is going great! 💪 So far, we’ve completed the structural floor, fixed M12 bolts into the walls, and set up the landing for the stairs. We’ve rebuilt the second rear wall and the back corner of the house – they were cracked, so we had to take them down and start fresh. We also repaired the neighbour’s chimney with new pointing – it had massive gaps! 🛠️ We’re choosing a weather struck pointing finish for the house. On Monday and Tuesday, we’ll be installing the steel ridge beam and completing the loft structure. 🚀
