Building Around History: The 500-Year-Old Tree in Leatherhead 🌳 🏡

On our current demolish & rebuild project in Leatherhead, we encountered something truly special - a magnificent tree estimated to be over 500 years old.

Rather than remove or disturb it, we redesigned our entire approach to preserve its roots and protect its legacy.

Every step of the build has been carefully planned with this tree in mind - from foundation works to logistics - ensuring it remains untouched, thriving, and standing proudly alongside the new home.

That meant redesigning our layout, and installing tree-friendly pile and beam foundations to avoid disrupting the roots.

At Kaislar, it’s not just about what we build - it’s about how we build. With respect for history, nature, and every unique detail that makes a property special.
