It's one of the most Googled questions in home renovation, and for good reason. Getting it wrong is expensive.
Here's what we'd actually look for if we were hiring a builder:
✅ Check they're on Constructionline, CHAS, or Safecontractor. These aren't just badges, they require proper vetting
✅ Ask for references from similar jobs.
✅ Get at least three quotes, but don't just go with the cheapest.
✅ Make sure they have public liability insurance before anyone sets foot on site.
✅ Avoid anyone who wants a large cash deposit upfront with nothing in writing.
We tick all of the above, and we're happy to prove it. DM us or tap the link in bio.
