Got Roof Glass? Maximise Light Transmission with ClearShield Eco-Glass®!

With our unique Eco-System® for and , our Applicators carry out lots of work for properties. And lately, we are getting more and more demand to treat glass. Not only does this include standard horizontal glass panels, but and roof lanterns as well. On a sunny day, any interior with roof glass above can look even more beautiful thanks to ClearShield®; its , performance and so less adhere to the surface and boosts .

One such recent example is a property we treated in St Alban’s, Hertfordshire. This property featured both a and a glass roof panel. Last week, ’s Marketing Partner in India, Systems, exhibited at INDIA in . And what a show they had! It had been an incredible success in more ways than one, with so many visitors coming to the stand and learning why ® is the ultimate liquid-applied , available today.

In Memory of Prerana Phadnis

With the deepest sadness we learned of the passing on 16 July 2025 of Prerana Phadnis, our close business associate and dear friend.

For many years Prerana worked with Ritec International in her role as Business Advisor for Prefix Associates. Our colleagues and partners had the privilege of her continued support and advice and were inspired by her business integrity and imaginative and enthusiastic attitude, her generosity, empathy and kindness to us all. She advised and assisted with meetings and trade shows, and with her deep insight in our business she guided us in negotiations at all levels and assisted us in applying for, and winning, several business awards. Prerana was an invaluable connector, bridging the gap between individuals and organisations through her remarkable work.

With Prerana’s close cooperation we developed a partnership with Roshnak Systems LLP in India, owned by members of her family with whom we have now been working for several years. They have developed a growing business and are one of our most valued partners.

Prerana had a wonderfully calm way of conducting meetings and negotiations, with patience and gentle strength steering discussions towards what was relevant, listening to everybody’s opinions, giving encouragement so others would feel relaxed and sufficiently confident to participate and share thoughts and contribute to meaningful conclusions. With empathy, kindness, and genuine interest she got the best out of everybody and brought humour to each occasion making serious business more fun. She would light up the room with her positive attitude and generously shared knowledge gathered from own experience during her long and varied career.

Several years ago, Prerana made a complete career change to concentrate on creating mosaic artwork for which she received great acclaim and awards. At the same time, she found time to publish an inspirational book featuring her beautiful mosaics and giving thoughtful and helpful advice on how to live a life that matters, generously based on her own experience. Her interests and creative talents in her varied careers touched so many people who will forever remember her with gratitude and deep affection. She made our world a better place and we treasure the time we spent together.

How can something so small play a big part in potentially saving lives? Measuring from just 7.25mm in diameter, these diminutive pieces of are fitted to Oil Mist Detectors ( ). OMDs are important safety devices mandatorily fitted to in of a certain power output or cylinder size. They detect the presence of any at low concentration levels so remedial action can be taken in good time to avert a catastrophic crankcase explosion that would otherwise risk lives onboard.

Ritec Systems Save Rhoon Retirement Home from Ruined Surfaces!

Thanks to the Systems for the , and of and powder , they saved the day for a retirement home in , near Rotterdam in The Netherlands.

A leak from an upper floor resulted in water running down the glass and on the ground floor, ruining the . Using ordinary methods, it was impossible to remove the water . Seemingly, the only option at this point was to replace the affected areas at substantial cost – not only financially but the stress, inconvenience and time. , a local licensed applicator of the , stepped in with the ultimate and significantly more cost-effective solution.

The and Ritec Systems from in the UK provide ‘non-stick’, solutions. The Systems include the Eco-System® for glass and the System® for powder coated surfaces. Each has decades of proven track records around the world, and both Systems were utilised to get things back to new.

The first stage was the renovation of the affected areas. This involved the use of specialist Ritec renovation products to remove the existing harsh from the glass and framework. Following this process, the surfaces looked as good as the day they were installed.

The next stage was protection. With the surfaces chemically clean, ClearShield® for glass and Ritecoat® for the framework were applied. Once cured, both liquid provide ‘non-stick’, easy-clean surfaces that and . ClearShield® Protection Specified for Major West London Estate Refurbishment Project

International, of ® , technology, is delighted to provide its glass surface for a major block project in West London.

The multi-million pound project, awarded to a leading and refurbishment , includes external and internal refurbishment works such as , cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation, roof renewals, repairs, door renewals, fire alarm installations, sprinkler installations and decoration. The works are being carried out across five high-rise tower blocks of flats, of which their heights vary from nine to eleven storeys.

As part of the refurbishment, the glass required an effective easy-clean treatment that could be applied . The Ritec ClearShield Eco-System®, developed for the , ‘non-stick’ and of glass with nearly 45 years of track records was the perfect fit and ultimately .

Consequently, Ritec trained up the contractor’s staff in its North London facility to apply the ® on-site. The training included the removal of any existing on the glass with specialist Ritec renovation products before the application of , ClearShield® liquid-applied surface treatment. After curing, the once-ordinary glass surface will become higher performance ClearShield Eco-Glass® that and , look like new for longer as well as reducing frequency, saving maintenance time and costs. Cleaner glass maximises light transmission which helps to increase the comfort and wellbeing of the towers’ occupants. Additionally, ® protects the surface before, during and after construction so while the works are carried out, it will resist the of contaminants such as from , and , dust and other construction materials. This helps to minimise delays as removal is made much easier thanks to the ‘non-stick’ surface.

Ritec supplied enough product to the building contractor to treat around 3,000m² of glass in situ. As part of Ritec’s commitment to quality assurance, On-Site Specialists visited the site on a few occasions to supervise application, ensuring standards were being adhered to.
