In honour of World Environment Day, here's how we play our part in helping the environment!

🌍 We are a fully Carbon Neutral Company 🌍

🎯 We began our carbon neutral journey in 2021 with our target being to reduce our carbon emissions, our goal was to become carbon neutral by the end of 2024.

💻 We started our research as we did not have enough information to commit to a Net Zero target quite yet.

🚗 We began to understand our consultants car use was contributing heavily to our carbon footprint so to better this we decided to provide the majority of our consultants with fully electric cars which arrived in the middle of 2022!

🌲 Getting started was the hard part, figuring out the maths needed to be done and how we know what were doing is correct was even harder. Some beginning tasks were as simple as removing under the desk bins and making sure the heating wasn't still on after everyone had left the office.

✅ Once we understood what our carbon emissions were, we needed to identify our long-term goal of reducing these. We committed to reduce our carbon emissions by over 40% by 2030. We then submitted our plans and target for approval by Science Based Targets. In November 2022 our plans and target were approved.

😁 It is now 2025 and we proud to say that we are a fully carbon neutral company!

❗41 HOURS STUCK IN A LIFT!❗

The longest anyone recorded as being stuck in a lift was 41 hours! This happened in New York in 2008. Manager, Nicholas White was coming back from a break when the elevator got stuck between floors! Does not sound fun at all...

Fun fact for this morning! 🧐

Lifts used to be called “rising rooms”

The Langham in central London, which opened in 1865, is thought of as Europe’s first grand hotel. It also claims to be the first London hotel to feature hydraulic lifts.

At the time, however, these weren’t called lifts – they were instead referred to by the staff and clientele as “rising rooms.”
