A lot of cladding remediation projects don't fail. They just never really get started.

Not because the technical work is too hard. Not because the funding isn't there. But because somewhere between the first survey and the first application, something slips, and slipping in this process can be expensive.

Intrusive surveys are one of the most important steps in the remediation process, and yet they're often one of the least understood.

They involve carefully opening parts of a building's external wall system to see what is actually there, not just what drawings or records suggest.

Frequently, we find that building information is often incomplete, outdated, or simply doesn't reflect what was built. Without an intrusive survey, decisions get made on assumptions rather than evidence, and in cladding remediation, that's a risk no one can afford.

That's a wrap on our project series with the team at Anstey Horne, at least for now 👏

Over the past few weeks, we've reflected on some of the projects we've delivered together, each one with its own unique set of challenges. However, we're proud to report that they all share the same outcome: buildings restored to safety, and clients guided through a complex process with clarity.

There's nothing quite like being out on site when the sun's out ☀️

Our Director Philip Mallon swapped the office for Stevenage last week, heading to Townsend Mews to check on Blocks C, D & E. With works coming in on programme, it was great to be able to bring our clients some positive news.

To us, one-line updates aren't enough. Our clients deserve eyes on the ground, a voice in the room, and a remediation expert who treats their project like it's the only one on the list.
