📍 Full-Time, Permanent | 💰 £34,000 per annum
Inplace Personnel Services is recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business, looking for an experienced and motivated Welder Fabricator to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern production environment where quality, safety and teamwork are highly valued.
About the Role
You'll operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using processes including TIG, MIG, Flux-Cored Arc, Plasma Arc, MMA, Resistance and Submerged Arc Welding. Duties include positional welding on structural steel, tacking, marking out, jigging and fabrication, ensuring all work meets required quality standards. You'll monitor welding processes to prevent distortion or warping, check finished work with measuring equipment against engineering specs, and operate workshop tools such as chop saws, iron workers, pillar drills and linishers — all within a safe, clean working environment using PAPR systems and PPE.
What We're Looking For
✅ Level 3 Welding Qualification or equivalent experience
✅ Proven background in fabrication and welding
✅ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
✅ IT literate, confident with ERP systems, Excel and email
✅ Strong attention to detail and communication skills
✅ Physically fit, proactive, dependable team player
✅ Good problem-solving skills and positive attitude
Working Hours
⏰ 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
