Huge congratulations to Jack Agnew, who has just qualified as a Level 3 Mechanical Technician 👏

Five years ago, Jack joined Forth straight from school in Cleator Moor. Since then, he's worked hard to develop his skills, learn the ropes and has become a valued member of the team.

At Forth, we invest in local talent by creating opportunities for young people across West Cumbria. It's part of the sustainable employment ethos that underpins everything we do.

We are proud to assist Goodlives’ new Support Their Skills campaign.

Following a successful pilot, the initiative is seeking financial support from local businesses to help fund practical programmes that support long-term unemployed and people ‘far from the jobs market’ across West Cumbria, giving them the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to move forward.

Whether it's funding cookery sessions, employer visits, equipment, training or one-to-one support, every donation has a clear purpose and a real impact on the people in our community who deserve opportunity and a second chance.

We all have a role to play in making our communities stronger and this is a fantastic way for businesses to do exactly that.

Our Flimby Machine Shop plays a key role in the solutions we deliver at Forth. It helps turn ideas into reality through prototypes, proof-of-concept designs and production components.

Our Operations Manager, Josh Oakes, explains the capability and how the team supports everything from one-off components to batch work for larger projects. By testing, refining and proving concepts early, we're able to deliver quality, cost-effective solutions promptly that our clients can have confidence in.

We've expanded our presence at Leconfield Industrial Estate, creating a dedicated Trade Counter to support the hydraulic and pneumatic needs of businesses across West Cumbria 👏

Designed to minimise downtime, the Trade Counter offers a responsive service with many bespoke hose orders turned around the same day, helping local businesses get back up and running quickly.

The expansion has also created a new role within the business, with Gavin Hudson joining the team as Hydraulic Engineer 👏

We're also pleased to be using part of the additional space to continue supporting Goodlives, helping maintain equipment used in their life skills and employability programmes.

We're excited to continue growing the Trade Counter with specialist products and solutions to meet local business' requirements.
