🏗️ PROJECT UPDATE | KIRKCALDY

Another productive week on site in Kirkcaldy, with great progress being made across several key areas of the project!

Looking ahead:

There's plenty more progress planned for next week!

🔹 Preparation works for the concrete floor
🔹 The west elevation cladding is scheduled for completion
🔹 Temporary lighting will be installed ahead of the concrete pour.
🔹 Concrete floor pour scheduled

It's great to see the project continuing to take shape, with another busy week ahead and key milestones being achieved.

A new addition to the FJB Contracts team!

We know we’re definitely not the first construction company to add a drone to the team… but that hasn’t stopped us from being pretty excited about it! 😄

Our new flying teammate is already giving us a completely different perspective on the work we do quite literally!
📸 Social content: capturing our projects and the team from angles we simply couldn’t get before.
👷 Site surveys: helping us assess areas that can be difficult, time-consuming or impractical to access on foot.
🏗️ Project progress: giving us another way to document the work taking place across our sites.

And, perhaps most importantly, it’s been a bit of fun for the team too!
The flying lessons are going well! There’s still plenty to learn, but we’re looking forward to putting the new kit to good use.

It’s all about finding better ways to work, capture what we do and showcase the brilliant work happening across FJB Contracts.

is really starting to come back to life.

We’ve reached an exciting stage on this project, with the new windows and doors now in. What a difference they make!

It’s amazing to see the character of the original steading shine through again, while giving the building a new lease of life for the future.

Another big step forward, and we can’t wait to see this transformation continue. 👏

Another FJB project completed ✔️

A full external extension and warehouse refurbishment for Taylor’s Autos new home in Aberdeen.

FJB delivered additional space with a clean, modern finish that complements the existing building.

Great to see another satisfied customer and another quality build handed over.

☀️ FJB Contracts 2nd Annual BBQ! 🍔🏌️‍♂️🐶🍻

What a fantastic day we had at the FJB Contracts 2nd Annual BBQ! We were incredibly lucky to be blessed with some absolutely glorious weather.

A huge thank you to all our staff for your continued hard work, commitment, and dedication throughout the first half of the year.

The BBQ was a huge success, with some fantastic locally sourced butcher meat that went down an absolute treat! 🌭🥩

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so enjoyable. A special mention to all the dogs who joined us too! 🐶 They were certainly a big hit and looked like they were having just as good a time as everyone else!

We also had a brilliant tour around Burnside Brewery. A fascinating look behind the scenes and, of course some b**r tasting to finish things off. 🍻 A massive thank you to the team at Burnside Brewery for their time, hospitality, and for showing us around.

And finally, a special appreciation to our boss Finlay for cooking 🧑‍🍳 and hosting the golf chipping competition. 🏌️‍♂️ There was some impressive skill on display… and some shots that perhaps need a little more practice! 😂

All in all, a brilliant day with a brilliant team. Here’s to a strong second half of the year! 💪
