Recently we were contacted by a customer requesting we fill eight empty plastic drums with closed cell polyeurethane foam for use as buoyancy aids for a pontoon- a little different to what we've done before but none the less an exciting project we were happy to complete with even happier customers 🛟

Last week at Vectis insulation solutions we completed this full removal and clean up of old, damp insulation after the customer had a new roof replaced due to leaks.
We then went on to add new 100mm of knauf fibrewool loft insulation between the rafters, and a further 170mm cross layer over the top bringing this loft up to the current building regulations with regards to insulating a loft space. We then finished up with a section of raised boarding for the homeowners storage needs. Another happy customer 🏠

⚠️⚠️⚠️ DAMP, DEFECTIVE CAVITY WALL⚠️⚠️⚠️.
INSULATION REMOVAL

The team were hard at work again this week removing more failed cavity wall insulation from this property in Ryde.

The owner got in touch when they noticed damp areas on the exterior walls. After a thorough inspection of the cavity, a full clearance was recommended and completed soon after.

We use specialist equipment to FULLY remove damp CWI.

No job too small! At Vectis Insulation Solutions we pride ourselves in our ability to cater for all of our clients insulation requirements, large or small.

The owner of this purpose built garage had the very common problem of condensation forming on the undersideof the roof.
Having carefully prepared the area, we were able to spray apply a layer of closed cell polyurethane foam directly to the tin sheets.
This application eliminates the risk of condensation, whilst at the same time adding structural rigidity to the building.
