Earlier this year, Mark Phare welcomed three groups from Rotary Newton Abbot through our facility to share a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into designing and manufacturing propulsion systems.

As a thank you, Rotary kindly offered to make a donation to a charity of our choice. We were delighted to nominate Rowcroft Hospice, and last week Mark attended the Rotary meeting at Dainton Golf Club to present a cheque for £500 to Kate Holmes from Rowcroft, alongside Rotary President Phil Millichap.

A great reminder of how we can make a difference in the local community! ❤️

Thank you to Newton Abbot Rotary and Rowcroft for the incredible work you do.

After years helping steer Teignbridge forward, Mark Phare is handing over the role of Group Managing Director – with James Batten and Ian Mills now stepping into the position as Joint Group Managing Directors.

Between them, James and Ian bring decades of experience across the business and a deep understanding of the customers, projects, markets, and people that make Teignbridge what it is today.

James and Ian shared: “Teignbridge has always been built on innovation, people, relationships, and a drive to keep moving forward. We’re proud to take on this role together and continue building on the strong foundations already in place, supporting our customers, investing in our teams, and shaping the next chapter of the business.”

Mark reflected: “Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey – our teams in the UK and overseas, our customers, suppliers, partners, and everyone who has played a role in making Teignbridge what it is today. It’s been a privilege to be part of this team, and I’m excited to see what comes next.”

Please join us in congratulating James and Ian on their new roles and wishing Mark all the very best for his retirement. 👏🍾

After years helping shape Teignbridge Propellers into the business it is today, Group Managing Director Mark Phare will retire at the end of May.

Marine engineering businesses grow through steady decisions, trusted relationships, problem-solving under pressure, and people who genuinely care about getting things right. Mark’s leadership has played a huge part in that journey, and we’d like to thank him for his commitment, knowledge, and contribution over the years.

As one chapter closes, another begins.

James Batten and Ian Mills will step into the role of Joint Group Managing Directors, bringing decades of combined experience across the business and a deep understanding of the customers, markets, and people that make Teignbridge what it is.

Continuity matters in engineering. So does momentum. We’re looking forward to what comes next.

Wishing Mark a long, happy, and well-earned retirement from everyone at Teignbridge. 👏

We’re really pleased to share that Teignbridge has been shortlisted for ‘Best Large Employer’ at this year’s South Devon College Apprenticeship Awards. It’s a strong field (150+ nominations), which makes the recognition feel all the more meaningful.

We’ll find out the result on Thursday 21st May at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay – a great evening that celebrates the apprentices, mentors, and teams behind the scenes across so many industries.

We’re also proud to once again sponsor the ‘Marine Engineer’ Apprentice award – a category that’s close to home for us! ⚙️🌊

Good luck to everyone shortlisted – especially the apprentices building their future in engineering. 👏
