We’re please to have delivered the full construction of this eHGV hub just outside Nottingham for one of our valued clients Clarke Connect.

Our teams have been responsible for the full installation of all the associated infrastructure required to bring this project to life, all completed in house, end to end which includes,

Due to increased work load, Broughton Contracting & Utility Services Ltd is looking for an experienced hotbox driver with utility reinstatement/ surfacing experience to support our growing order book of reinstatement works associated with the delivery of our renewable energy and multi utility projects across Central UK and occasionally Nationwide.

We are looking for candidates based ideally around the Derby / Notts area close to our yard at Langley Mill, NG16.

The roll will also include the need to work away from time to time depending on the location of work.

We’re have now gained full accreditation under the NERS scheme for cable laying up to 33kV, something we’re extremely proud to have achieved over the past few months.

We will now be working on our partial to full accreditations under the scheme for cable laying up to 132kv including Project management.

Without the solid commitment and support from our teams both back office and in the field, this wouldn’t have been possible. The professionalism and knowledge shown by our cable team on the site audit last month was something else and the reason we flew through the audit with 100% pass rate and a very happy client. 👏🏻

Straight in after the bank holiday with our cable team installing 3.5km of 3x 33kV cable across country in 3 days!!

The newly installed circuit will take green solar energy generated from the North Fen Solar farm in Cambridge and feed it directly back into the national grid.

As always our team went above and beyond to get this project complete in record time for our client, how we roll… 🧵😬👌🏻….literally!!

Last month we completed another EV project at the rear of Highbridge Retail Park, Waltham Abbey for one of our valued clients.

This project was a challenging one, not only with maintaining delivery access for the retail park, but also trying to navigate all the existing underground storm water drainage pipes & tanks that were located in the way of the proposed cable route, despite this, our teams managed to find an alternative route which involved deeper excavations to enable the cabling to be completed and the site is now live!

We specialise in the construction of EV charging hubs Nationwide and we completed this particular project on a full turn key basis for our client which included,

- Construction of the cast in situ Substation base.
- Construction of the cast in situ Power unit base.
- Construction of the cast in situ Feeder pillar base.
- EV charger base construction.
- Excavation & installation of all cable ducting - LV & HV.
- All onsite & off site work scopes.
- Final backfill, reinstatement & landscaping.
- Initial enabling works.
- LV & HV Cable installation.

We’ve just completed the finishing touches to another specification 🧱brick built substation in Rainhill for one of our valued clients.

Our civils team have completed this build from start to finish and now all the landscaping is completed, it looks far better than the average GRP covered package substation!
