Congratulations to our Service & Maintenance department

The team has been shortlisted for Service & Maintenance Provider of the Year at the Catering Insight Awards.

Whilst we’re best known for our premium fit-outs, our deep understanding of hospitality kitchens makes us the perfect team to keep them running. And it’s not just the restaurants we’ve built: our team supports any hospitality business, whoever fitted their kitchen.

Full Concourse Fit-Out

As part of Manchester City’s stadium expansion, Dawnvale was appointed to deliver multiple hospitality spaces, including the fit-out of the Level 2 concourse in the new Pep Guardiola stand.

At the heart of it sits a huge 40-metre feature bar, designed with multiple service stations and dedicated drinks collection points to keep thousands of fans moving. At either end of the concourse, we installed bespoke three-sided self-service stations, each featuring 10 Box Bar self-dispense systems, alongside multiple dedicated kitchen concessions for food orders.

Large touchscreen ordering zones allow fans to order away from the main collection areas, helping reduce congestion, while spacious social areas give supporters room to meet, eat and drink before and after the game.

Behind the scenes, every detail has been considered. Bespoke bar and kitchen layouts improve back-of-house efficiency, while self-service technology, pre-ordering and digital screens help reduce queues and increase service speed and overall fan experience.

Every element has been positioned to maximise the available space and improve the flow of thousands of supporters through the concourse.

Reduced queues
Better crowd flow
Increased dwell time and sales opportunities
A stronger return on investment

Hickory’s Poynton Complete!

We’ve recently completed a bar refresh for Hickory’s Smokehouse in Poynton, a little different from our usual full kitchen and bar fit-outs.

Open since 2019, the site closed for just a few days while our team got to work, delivering a series of bespoke bar fabrications, including a new stainless steel dispense bar top with a distressed finish.

All works are now complete, and the doors are open again, with a refreshed bar ready for the next busy service.

Thanks to everyone involved in getting this one finished and the team back open on time. We look forward to the next one with Hickory’s!

Zadie’s Fit-Out | The hottest new restaurant in Manchester

As part of Manchester City's recent stadium expansion, Dawnvale was appointed to deliver key hospitality areas across the development, including the complete fit-out of its jewel in the crown: Zadie's, a vibrant new restaurant, bar and social destination located on the new fifth floor of the Pep Guardiola Stand and overlooking the Etihad Stadium.

But this isn’t just a matchday hospitality suite.

Zadie's is open to the public!

With two dedicated lifts accessed from Medlock Square, guests can head straight up to Zadie's, whether it's for cocktails before a show at Co-op Live, dinner with friends, late-night drinks, or simply to enjoy incredible views across the Etihad Stadium pitch or Pennine landscape.

Matchdays bring an added dimension, with the venue also delivering a premium hospitality experience for football fans and corporate guests alike.

It's a great example of how modern stadium hospitality is evolving: creating premium spaces that don't just come alive on matchdays but operate as sought-after food and drink destinations in their own right, driving day-to-day revenue and setting the standard as destination venues.

A huge well done to everyone involved in bringing this landmark venue to life.

Hickory’s Cambridge complete!

We have handed over and are proud to have played a part in another transformation of the former Milton Arms pub into the latest Hickory’s Smokehouse, located on Milton Road, Cambridge.

The staff are busy getting ready, and the finishing touches are being added, ready for their team to welcome guests with its signature smokehouse style on 16 October.

On this project, our team delivered another one of our bespoke commercial kitchens and bar for the new venue, creating a professional, efficient back-of-house operation built to handle the pace and volume of a busy Hickory’s.

Well done to everyone involved in bringing this one to life. I’m sure the locals are going to love this new family-oriented American smokehouse venue.

Denise will be attending the Women in Sport Breakfast before she is joined by John and Jacob at the main event held at Chelsea Football Club's Stamford Bridge later in the day.

Manchester City has created hospitality spaces designed to deliver far beyond the matchday experience. With many of the new venues open throughout the week, the development creates a genuine 365-day destination and unlocks new opportunities to generate revenue from hospitality year-round.

Voco Hotel Glasgow Complete

Dating back to 1883, Voco Grand Central Glasgow is steeped in history. Adjoining Glasgow Central Station, this iconic hotel has welcomed generations of travellers and famous guests, including Frank Sinatra and Winston Churchill. Today, its historic grandeur combines with contemporary hospitality, creating a distinctive destination at the heart of Glasgow.

As part of a comprehensive hospitality overhaul led by Diverse Projects, Dawnvale was appointed for our specialist expertise to deliver bespoke service counters across several areas, including the Forward Kitchen, restaurant, Tempest Bar and deli.
It has been a fantastic project to be involved in, and we’re proud to have played our part in creating a refreshed hospitality offering that will enhance the guest experience for years to come.
