Last minute summer space education opportunity for parents of 14-17 year olds….

Space Store and Spacetime Development are offering a one day Space Course at Jesus College, Oxford University on Sunday, 30 August 2026. Yes - this Sunday!

Students will get to tour Harwell Science and Innovation Campus and interact with actual space hardware and robots.

Lecture topics include:
- Satellites
- Launch Vehicles
- Space Debris and Robotics
- and more!

There will be a practical group activity to design a mission. And, of course… virtual reality and space suits!

We had a lovely day with Rose Hill Junior Youth Club last week! Space suits, bottle rocket launches and the ever popular VR space walk were a hit 🚀 Soaking up the last bits of summer holidays now 😎

We have had requests for solar eclipse glasses, but have chosen not to sell them. We recommend a pinhole viewer (or a simple kitchen colander)!

Please be safe to avoid eye damage. Enjoy the moon showing off!

Haven't managed to get solar eclipse glasses?

You can project a view of the solar eclipse using a piece of card and a colander, enabling you to indirectly – and safely – view the effects of the eclipse without solar eclipse glasses.

Note – if you don't have solar eclipse glasses, you should not look directly at the solar eclipse, as doing so could damage your eyesight
