Flight Deck Demystified! ✈️

Our A320 Sim began life as an active aircraft D-ASTU, an A319 operating in Germany. It flew for 11 years before its flight deck was repurposed for use as the simulator we use today!

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful family who visited us after winning a charity raffle organised by our friends at the Air Ambulance.

From the moment they took to the skies, it was clear that these two young gentlemen are excellent pilots-in-the-making! Thank you for spending the day with us. It was a pleasure to share the experience with you.

Our Open Day on the 19th of September is officially SOLD OUT!!

We are delighted to be welcoming all the aspiring pilots, along with their family and friends, who have secured a place at our Open Day.

Attendees can look forward to a day filled with interactive activities, informative talks from special guests, and the opportunity to gain valuable insights into pilot training. Visitors will explore both Airspeed House and Hangar 18, as well as enjoy exclusive airside access to see our aircraft up close.

Have you ever wondered what it’s really like to train as a pilot with dyslexia?

We sat down with one of our students to talk about their experience and give you an honest insight into life in pilot training with dyslexia.

We discussed the challenges they faced, the things they found difficult, and the methods and strategies they used to help them throughout their training with us.

Congratulations to all the students on LEAP-072 who we caught up with earlier in one of their final lessons of Ground School! ✈️

This dedicated group will soon be sitting their final set of UK and EASA ATPL exams, an incredibly important milestone in their journeys to becoming commercial pilots. Once they have their first stripe, the next lesson that these trainees will attend won’t be from the comfort of a classroom, it will be in the seats of one of our single-engine aircraft in Alhama de Murcia!
