⚡Ar ôl i Ynni Cymunedol Cymru gyhoeddi ein manifesto ar gyfer etholiadau’r Senedd nôl yn mis Medi 2025, gwnaethom ofyn i'r pleidiau glweidyddol yng Nghymru i ymateb iddo.

Fe wnaeth pedair ohonynt ymateb, a threfnwyd pedwar araith.

Bu Anthony Slaughter o Blaid Werdd Cymru gyda Gwyrdd Bengla yng Nghaerdydd.

Bu Rhun ap Iorwerth o Blaid Cymru gyda Ynni Ogwen ym Methesda.

Bu Jane Dodds o'r Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol gyda Awel Aman Tawe yng Nghwm Gors.

Bu Huw Irranca-Davies gyda'r Arts Factory ym Maerdy.

Dyma’r pwyntiau y gofynwyd i arweinwyr y parti i ymateb iddynt:

2. Esbonio pa fesurau y maent am eu cyflwyno i’r llywodraeth nesaf i wella bioamrywiaeth a gwyrdroi colled rhywogaethau.

3. Esbonio eu cefnogaeth i gymunedau i adeiladu a chadw asedau o dan berchnogaeth gymunedol – sut ydynt am gymunedoli Cymru?

⚡When Community Energy Wales published our manifesto for the upcoming Senedd elections back in September 2025, we asked all the political parties in Wales to respond.

Four did, and we organised four keynote speech events.

Anthony Slaughter from the Wales Green Party was hosted by Gwyrdd Bangla Cymru in Caerdydd.

Rhun ap Iorwerth for Plaid Cymru was hosted by Ynni Ogwen in Bethesda.

Jane Dodds for the Welsh Liberal Democrats was hosted by Awel Aman Tawe in Cwmgors.

Huw Irranca-Davies was hosted by the Arts Factory in Maerdy.

The party leaders were asked to speak to the following points:

1. Respond to each of the policy proposals in the CEW manifesto as a package of measures to be introduced by the next Welsh government

2. Outline their views and concerns about nature and climate breakdown and explain what measures they will introduce in the next government to improve biodiversity and stem or reverse species loss.

3. Explain what they will do to create the conditions to help & support communities to build a bank of community owned assets - what is the community wealth building plan?

Every year, Community Energy Wales organises a conference that gathers together our membership and other stakeholders in the sector to discuss our future, the amazing work happening today, and the challenges that are ahead of us.

The policy field for community energy is changing. The publication of the Local Power Plan from the UK Government indicates an uplift in support for community energy. In Wales, Ynni Cymru grants are allowing for community-owned projects to be viable, and a new sector deal could place communities at the heart of energy.

Change is on its way – and the community energy sector needs to be ready for it.

We’ll cover four topics over the course of the two days, all of them focusing on the opportunities that are on their way for our sector:

Session 1: ED3 consultation on grid and the potential for energy communities.
Session 2: Working with local authorities to develop community energy
Session 3: Supporting and building the grassroots sustainably
Session 4: Community Energy Wales Members Showcase
