Background:
The client desired to enhance a classic Victorian end-of-terrace dwelling in London by updating and revitalising the interiors.
The goal was to expand the living areas to establish a more spacious and brighter kitchen and dining area.
Scope:
The architectural enhancements aimed to maximize natural light in the rear extension by incorporating a glass roof into both the rear and side infill extensions.
To facilitate an open layout, structural steelwork was necessary to reinforce the first-floor rear elevation and the property’s side wall. Quorum developed a structural framework to provide the necessary lateral stability for the glass rear elevation.
Quorum worked closely with the architects Cato Creative to ensure that the project was completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s high standards of quality.
