There's nothing more satisfying than seeing our drawings come to life. Watching these designs transform to real, tangible structures is truly a joy!

We had the pleasure of working with our friends CATO creative on this interesting project in .

This property had been vacant for over 3 years before the project had started. This lead to the property deteriorating progressively due to rising damp, dry rot and uncontrollable ivy. The clients wanted to restore and revitalise property into a family home.

The architects aimed to create an outstanding family home. Everything excluding the front wall was removed and new extensions and internal spaces were built.

Quorum provided the structural designs for the front lightwell retaining wall design, new loft extension, new infill rear extension, and internal modifications, whilst ensuring all drawings and designs were building control compliant. These structural designs ensured the stability and integrity of the property ensuring the new family home was safe structurally.

We had the pleasure of working with our friends on the conversion of a side annex of a bungalow in . Quorum provided the structural design and detailing, replacing the existing trussed roof with a stunning new vaulted roof.

The highlight? An impressive 8m-long ridge beam supporting the new roof—delivered and installed in one piece, without splicing!

As structural engineers, we’re proud to have played a key role in this stunning extension project in St Albans — supporting from the first steel frame install to the final inspection.

💬 Every beam, joist, and connection was carefully designed to not only meet regulations but to elevate the architectural vision.

Quorum also provided the structural designs for the rear extension and internal modifications.
