🌿 Garden Transformation – 4 of 5 🌿
A simple addition, but one that makes a huge difference to how this garden can be accessed and enjoyed.
For this project, we installed a brand-new set of rear garden steps, creating direct access from the rear doors into the garden. Previously, the customers had to walk around the property to access the garden, with the rear doors needing to remain locked.
The area was dug out and prepared with a reinforced concrete base, followed by solid masonry blockwork and finished with paving slabs. A timber handrail was also added for extra safety and ease of access.
The customers wanted a long-lasting, solid solution, so rather than using a timber base, we opted for a full masonry construction — giving the steps a much more substantial and durable finish.
A relatively simple project, but one that has completely transformed the practicality of the garden. 👌

🌿 Garden Transformation – 3 of 5 🌿
Transformation 3 of our 5-day garden renovation series — this one was all about making the garden more accessible, practical and enjoyable for everyday living. 👌
The existing patio was extended into the old chipping area, creating a much larger, level outdoor space for our elderly clients. The new layout makes getting around the garden considerably easier while also giving them somewhere they can properly enjoy with family and friends.
🔨 Works included: • Existing chippings and ground removed
• Ground excavated and fully prepared
• New hardcore sub-base installed and compacted
• New membrane installed
• Beautiful limestone paving slabs laid and cut to suit
• Resin-based pointing for a clean, durable finish
• Existing patio professionally repointed to bring it back to life
• All edges and cuts neatly finished
• Site left clean, tidy and ready to enjoy
The finished patio has created a much more versatile entertaining space — plenty of room for tables and chairs, family gatherings, summer BBQs and simply enjoying the garden without feeling restricted by the original layout. ☀️🍖🥂
We also took the opportunity to repoint the existing patio, tying the old and new areas together and giving the whole space a fresh, consistent finish.
A simple idea, but a huge improvement in how the garden can be used — proving that good garden design isn't just about how it looks, it's about making the space work for the people who use it.

🌿 Garden Transformation – 2 of 5 🌿
For transformation 2 of our 5-day garden series, we took this garden back to the drawing board and completely redesigned the space to make it more practical, modern and visually appealing. 👌
The garden was completely re-levelled, creating a much cleaner layout and a better use of the available space.
🔨 Works included: • Complete garden re-levelling and ground preparation
• Removal of the existing fencing
• New fence posts installed
• New feather edge fencing throughout
• Reinforced concrete shed base constructed
• New composite garden shed installed
• Existing oil tank relocated from the centre of the garden and repositioned in accordance with the relevant requirements
• Bespoke half-moon shaped raised planter created
• Decorative stone areas added to introduce texture and drainage
• Granite edging installed around the artificial grass to create a sharp contrast and define the different areas
The aim was to create a garden that wasn't just tidied up, but properly designed around how the space would be used.
The curved planter adds a softer feature to the otherwise clean lines, while the granite edging gives the artificial grass a crisp, high-end finish. The decorative stone then helps break up the different areas and adds another texture to the overall design.
From the groundwork and fencing right through to the finishing touches, this was a complete garden transformation designed, built and finished by ST Building Services. 🔨🌿

🌿 Garden Transformation – 1 of 5 🌿
Starting our 5-day garden transformation series with this completed project. 👌
This garden needed a complete change of levels to make better use of the space, so we carried out the groundwork and built the new structure from the ground up.
🔨 Works included: • Garden levels completely reworked
• New block-built retaining walls
• Composite cladding to the retaining walls
• Bullnose coping stones fitted
• Porcelain paving laid and fully grouted
• New steps and pathways created
• Decorative chippings used throughout the garden
The decorative chippings not only add another texture and help break up the different areas of the garden, but also provide a practical, free-draining surface.
Combined with the porcelain paving, composite-clad retaining walls and artificial grass, the finished garden is modern, practical and low-maintenance, while making much better use of the available space.

We’re proud to be carrying out improvement works at Tencreek Holiday Park as they prepare for the busy summer season on the beautiful Cornish coast ☀️🏖️

🔨 Garden Renovations in Full Swing! 🌿

It’s been a busy few weeks with three different outdoor projects all progressing at the same time, and the transformations are already taking shape.

🏡 Project 1: A full garden renovation featuring a new porcelain patio, following on from the house extension we recently completed. This will create a modern, low-maintenance outdoor space to match the new home upgrade.

🧱 Project 2: Giving this property a fresh finish with new garden walls, rendering and a full tidy-up of the exterior, helping bring the whole space together.

🌿 Project 3: A three-tier garden transformation where we’re removing the old slabs and installing new sandstone paving, composite decking, new steps and retaining walls to create a much more usable and attractive layout.

Lots of progress happening across all three sites and we’re looking forward to sharing the finished results soon 👌

Another solid upgrade completed 🔨

We’ve just replaced an old, unstable and unsecure fence as part of an ongoing garden renovation, preparing the space for a new patio and the final garden finish.

This install was built to last, using solid concrete posts paired with reinforced concrete gravel boards for maximum strength and durability. The fencing features 6x1 infill panels, tailor-made on site to ensure a perfect fit and a clean, professional finish.

To complete the job, we fitted a new composite gate for the property, along with a custom-built gate for the neighbouring property, ensuring both security and practicality for everyone involved.

A strong, secure foundation now in place — ready for the next stage of the garden transformation.
