🚗🔧 Exciting news at Taz Motorsport!

We’re currently working on a very special Japanese-imported Mazda Mk1 MX-5 Eunos Roadster for a full restoration project. This incredible car is undergoing a complete engine strip and rebuild, alongside a full recommission to bring it back to its former glory.

Our goal is to have this iconic roadster fully refreshed, road-ready, and prepared for MOT — all for a very special customer.

Taz Motorsport

A silver Mazda MX-5 was brought in for a number of repairs and maintenance items. The work carried out included two minor welding repairs, as well as the supply and installation of new Brembo rear discs and pads.

We also diagnosed and resolved a sticking front brake caliper, ensuring the braking system is now operating correctly and safely.

All work was completed efficiently within one day, and the vehicle is now ready for collection.

We’re buzzing for Oulton Park Drift Day tomorrow! 🔥

The Taz Motorsports 1.8 turbo MX-5 is locked, loaded, and ready to go. Expect plenty of sideways action, flames spitting, and turbos chirping all day long.

Busy one at Taz Motorsport 🔧

Had a Mk2 MX-5 turbo in with intermittent throttle signal to the ECU, causing white smoke, poor running, and some nasty driving issues. Traced it back to a faulty TPS — replaced it and it’s now running spot on again.

While it was in, we also replaced the turbo gaskets on the hot side and between the manifold and turbo.

Pressure tested the cooling system and found the radiator had a leak, so that’s now been upgraded to a Japspeed alloy radiator 👌

Another customer car has just been dropped off with a no spark issue — we’ll be getting stuck into that next.

It’s been a full-on day here at TAZ Motorsport! 🚗🔧

The workshop has been buzzing from start to finish, with a great mix of vehicles coming through the doors. From Mazda MX-5s and Volvo XC90s to Ford Transit Customs in for servicing, plus plenty of other cars in and out throughout the day — it’s been all hands on deck!

A big thank you to our hardworking team for keeping everything running smoothly and to our customers for keeping us busy. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

Little work today on the mk2 drift mx5. Chaise repair work done. (Not a road car )

Work has started on the exhaust system installing a 4/2/1 long tube manifold and stainless steel system. For noise regs.
