🔥 Fire Extinguisher Training at JG Pears

Colleagues from across different departments at our Low Marnham site recently came together for fire extinguisher training, refreshing their knowledge and getting hands on with the equipment.

These sessions provide a great opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence and bring colleagues from across the business together, whilst reinforcing knowledge of how to use fire extinguishers correctly.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Low Marnham. ☕

From delicious cakes and sweet treats to our raffle and cash envelope winning game, everyone got involved and helped us raise an incredible £1,302.79 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 🍰🎟️

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, entered the raffle, took part in the games or simply enjoyed the cake, as well as the contractors and businesses we work with for their generous donations and support. Every contribution helped us reach this fantastic total.

It’s not too late to donate if you would like to help us raise even more for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We were proud to once again sponsor the Main Stage and bands at the Sutton on Trent Back to the 80s Festival.🕺🎸

It was fantastic to be asked to support this brilliant community event again, bringing people together to enjoy live music, celebrate the local area and, of course, have a bit of fun along the way!

With our Low Marnham factory nearby, we’re particularly pleased to support events that bring the local community together and give local people the chance to enjoy events right on their doorstep.

A huge well done to everyone involved in organising the festival and thank you for having JG Pears as part of it once again. We’re proud to support our local community and be part of events like this.

We were proud to be Platinum Sponsors of this year’s Burwarton Show, supporting one of the major agricultural events in the region.

F.M. Caine & Sons, part of the JG Pears Group, had a stand at the show, giving us a great opportunity to meet customers, connect with the local agricultural community and showcase the range of services we provide.

We also unveiled some new show merchandise, including our new “Fuelled by Farming” reusable cups.

A fantastic day celebrating agriculture, farming and the communities we are proud to support. 🌾

Congratulations to Joshua on successfully completing his Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) at the University of Salford.

Joshua had already begun his studies, and JG Pears was pleased to support him in completing the qualification, recognising the value it would bring to both his own development and the business.

Working within our Electrical Department, Joshua's achievement will now enable him to provide additional support in Controls and Instrumentation, strengthening the capabilities of the wider team and helping us continue to develop our in-house expertise.

Well done, Joshua, on a fantastic achievement!

We remember our colleague and friend, Zack Mitchell, our Rendering Operations Director, who tragically lost his life in a road traffic collision on 15 July.

Although Zack had only been part of the JG Pears team since March 2025, he made a lasting impression through his leadership, dedication and genuine care for those around him. He brought energy, positivity and determination to everything he did, earning the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Our thoughts remain with Zack's wife, Claire, their four children, and all of his family, friends and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.

Zack's legacy will live on through the people he inspired, the teams he led and the lives he touched. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone at JG Pears.
