Giving something back to the local community is always time well spent.

After searching for a volunteering opportunity that would make a real difference, Khariff reached out to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice to see how Doka could help. Alongside Jude, Anil, and Tobias, they recently spent the day clearing and preparing part of the hospice gardens.

The area they worked on will eventually become an allotment for residents to enjoy, helping create another special outdoor space for children and families. Seeing first-hand how important the gardens are to the hospice made the day all the more rewarding.

To thank the team, the children and staff presented them with a hand-painted card, a thoughtful gesture that meant a great deal to everyone involved.

A huge thank you to Khariff, Jude, Anil, and Tobias for giving up their time, and to everyone at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice for the warm welcome and the incredible work you do every day. We hope this is just the beginning of an ongoing partnership, with more opportunities to support the hospice in the future.

Product Carbon Footprint data available for more than 9,000 Doka products. 🚀

At Doka, our Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) database continues to grow. We have long provided our customers with transparent information on the greenhouse gas emissions of our core product portfolio - covering all relevant product life stages.

This enables informed decision-making:

➡️ Products can be assessed and selected based on their climate impact.

With our latest initiative, we have significantly expanded our PCF database to include more than 9,000 formwork and scaffolding products. ✨

Our customers can access PCF data in a flexible way, for example as an addition to quotations or invoices for specific projects.

By increasing transparency, we help our customers make more sustainable decisions throughout the construction process. 🏗️

This month, we swapped formwork for football.

Doka UK Sittingbourne took on Inter Sittingbourne FC, mixed the teams up to keep things fair (it didn't really work - final score: Blue 13-5 Yellow 😅), and somehow managed to raise over £1,800 for KSS Air Ambulance in the process.

Honestly, we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who laced up their boots, cheered from the sideline, or just chucked a few quid in the pot. Every single donation goes to a crew doing genuinely incredible work across Kent, Surrey and Sussex - out on life-saving missions every single day.

A huge thank you to Robert Hedges for kitting us out on the day - we looked the part, even if the scoreline suggests otherwise.

Big love to Inter Sittingbourne FC for taking us on, and to Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex for everything they do. You're the real winners here. ⚽❤️

Wastewater Treatment Works | Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Two things that made a difference on this project: precise digital formwork design and thorough pre-assembly before anything reached the site.

External and internal TOP50 Large Area Formwork units were modelled separately in Revit, combined into a single family, and rotated around the structure. This ensured high efficiency with the TOP50 system and superior quality in terms of Finish.

Pre-assembly was completed at our Sheffield Branch, so the site team received the components ready for installation.

Doka Tunnel Traveller No.2 – SL1 + TOP100

Using a double SL1 Traveller with the TOP100 formwork system, we delivered 10 pours on 7.5m high walls, achieving an average pour length of 22.5m.

This project demanded an efficient, track-mounted solution capable of casting full-height walls for self-compacting concrete. Leveraging Doka’s global expertise, we engineered a system that not only met these requirements but performed with outstanding efficiency.

Powered by our electric Drive Units TL, the traveller advanced smoothly along the tunnel tracks, ensuring precision, safety, and consistent progress throughout.

Another complex tunnelling project delivered with a focus on performance, efficiency, and engineering precision.

Doka SKE50+ Climbing System – Chobham Project, Stratford

A great project underway in Stratford with our valued customer, Duffy Construction.

The scheme features two core structures with 320m² of Framax formwork in operation, using our automated SKE50+ climbing system, a solution that lifts all external platforms in a single operation, maximising efficiency and safety on every cycle.

Health and safety is central to how this rig operates. The structure remains fully enclosed throughout, with internal platforms raised sequentially to allow rebar installation in a safe, controlled, and productive environment.

The cores are climbing at an impressive rate, a testament to the SKE50+ system itself, and to the quality, coordination, and professionalism of the Duffy site team. The right system, applied correctly, really does deliver.

Doka Staxo + Top50 table units used for aerodynamic slabs.

Rail infrastructure demands precision. Here's how we delivered it.

Doka UK recently supported a major UK project, supplying Top50 large-area formwork panels and Staxo shoring to form the aerodynamic slabs, a critical structural element at the tunnel portal designed to manage pressure generated by trains entering the tunnel.

Top50's adaptability to complex geometries and Staxo's reliable load-bearing performance made both systems ideally suited to the precision and programme demands of this structure, where tolerances and efficiency are critical.

400 homes. Three towers. One slab formwork system that had never been used at this scale in the UK before. 💪

At the Dyecoats regeneration scheme in Leeds, a brownfield development overlooking the River Aire, Cidon Group specified our next-generation DokaXdek system for Block 2B, alongside Dokamatic table systems for the remaining towers. The Latimer Group led the project in partnership with principal contractor GRAHAM Group

The results spoke for themselves: consistent slab cycles of 8–9 working days across 1,300m² pours, with full-edge tables incorporating permanent cantilever-mounted edge protection, removing the need for traditional beam-and-plywood perimeter solutions entirely.

DokaXdek's flexible swivel heads, hanging beam accessories, and lightweight anti-uplift panels gave Cidon's teams the speed, safety, and adaptability to handle blade columns, façade step-ins, and changing column grids with confidence.

As Con O'Shea, Operations Manager at Cidon, put it: the system delivered on both safety and speed, and they'd use it again without hesitation.
