Wastewater Treatment Works | Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Two things that made a difference on this project: precise digital formwork design and thorough pre-assembly before anything reached the site.

External and internal TOP50 Large Area Formwork units were modelled separately in Revit, combined into a single family, and rotated around the structure. This ensured high efficiency with the TOP50 system and superior quality in terms of Finish.

Pre-assembly was completed at our Sheffield Branch, so the site team received the components ready for installation.

Doka Tunnel Traveller No.2 – SL1 + TOP100

Using a double SL1 Traveller with the TOP100 formwork system, we delivered 10 pours on 7.5m high walls, achieving an average pour length of 22.5m.

This project demanded an efficient, track-mounted solution capable of casting full-height walls for self-compacting concrete. Leveraging Doka’s global expertise, we engineered a system that not only met these requirements but performed with outstanding efficiency.

Powered by our electric Drive Units TL, the traveller advanced smoothly along the tunnel tracks, ensuring precision, safety, and consistent progress throughout.

Doka SKE50+ Climbing System – Chobham Project, Stratford

A great project underway in Stratford with our valued customer, Duffy Construction.

The scheme features two core structures with 320m² of Framax formwork in operation, using our automated SKE50+ climbing system, a solution that lifts all external platforms in a single operation, maximising efficiency and safety on every cycle.

Health and safety is central to how this rig operates. The structure remains fully enclosed throughout, with internal platforms raised sequentially to allow rebar installation in a safe, controlled, and productive environment.

The cores are climbing at an impressive rate, a testament to the SKE50+ system itself, and to the quality, coordination, and professionalism of the Duffy site team. The right system, applied correctly, really does deliver.

Doka Staxo + Top50 table units used for aerodynamic slabs.

Rail infrastructure demands precision. Here's how we delivered it.

Doka UK recently supported a major UK project, supplying Top50 large-area formwork panels and Staxo shoring to form the aerodynamic slabs, a critical structural element at the tunnel portal designed to manage pressure generated by trains entering the tunnel.

Top50's adaptability to complex geometries and Staxo's reliable load-bearing performance made both systems ideally suited to the precision and programme demands of this structure, where tolerances and efficiency are critical.

400 homes. Three towers. One slab formwork system that had never been used at this scale in the UK before. 💪

At the Dyecoats regeneration scheme in Leeds, a brownfield development overlooking the River Aire, Cidon Group specified our next-generation DokaXdek system for Block 2B, alongside Dokamatic table systems for the remaining towers. The Latimer Group led the project in partnership with principal contractor GRAHAM Group

The results spoke for themselves: consistent slab cycles of 8–9 working days across 1,300m² pours, with full-edge tables incorporating permanent cantilever-mounted edge protection, removing the need for traditional beam-and-plywood perimeter solutions entirely.

DokaXdek's flexible swivel heads, hanging beam accessories, and lightweight anti-uplift panels gave Cidon's teams the speed, safety, and adaptability to handle blade columns, façade step-ins, and changing column grids with confidence.

As Con O'Shea, Operations Manager at Cidon, put it: the system delivered on both safety and speed, and they'd use it again without hesitation.

Sweden’s longest escalator on a 30-degree incline is taking shape. 🏗️

As part of the expansion of the Stockholm metro by Region Stockholm, the new Nacka Station is taking shape - including Sweden’s longest escalator, approximately 100 metres long with a vertical difference of 41 metres.

For the construction of the escalator shaft Doka designed an SL-1 Tunnel traveller combined with Doka UniKit to enable precise forming even on a 30-degree incline. The pre-assembled 80-tonne Tunnel traveller was assembled horizontally outside the tunnel before it was positioned at the desired angle and lowered. 🚀

Another successful tunnel project delivered!

We completed 23 pours (each at 13m pour lengths) on 10m-high walls using our SL1 Traveller and TOP100 formwork systems.

This project required an efficient, track‑mounted solution capable of casting full-height walls designed for self‑compacting concrete. Thanks to Doka global expertise, we engineered a system that not only met these requirements but operated with impressive efficiency - powered by our electric Drive Unit TL to smoothly advance along the tracks inside the tunnel.
