🍂 What a wonderfully wet afternoon in the woods today. The earth felt softer under our feet, and seemed to welcome us in to shelter under the trees. Which for the most part they did provide. Except for, now and then, fat drops of rain landing on our faces; taking us by surprise.
🍂 Rain water had collected in our trays, ready for us to paint with. Such a mindful thing to do as you notice the leaves start to glisten.
🍂 Our resident squirrel 🐿️ enjoyed some woodland tea and we wondered about the cones being open or closed depending on whether they’d been in the water or not.
🍂 Birds seemed to join us, especially noticeable was the song of the goldcrest.
🍂 There’s no Forest Froggies next week, but we’ll be back after half term.
Thank you for joining us! 💚🌿🐸
