There’s something very calming about arriving home to a quiet lane and hearing nothing but birds in the trees.

At Firgrove Close in Denmead, life feels a little slower in the best possible way. Mornings start with dog walks through the surrounding countryside, coffee from the village, and the sound of squirrels moving through the trees behind the homes. We recently had the pleasure of welcoming pupils from Hook-with-Warsash Church of England Academy to The Moorings, Warsash for a hands-on ecology visit.

As part of a wider project, the children are designing their own dream ecological home, exploring how nature and new homes can exist side by side.

Led by Peach Ecology, the day gave them the opportunity to learn about the habitats we find on our developments, from birds and bees to insects and slow worms.
One of the highlights was seeing and even holding a slow worm, and discovering its remarkable ability to drop its tail to escape predators.

What stood out most was their curiosity. The questions they asked and the knowledge they already had was genuinely inspiring.

To continue their learning back at school, we gifted a bird box and a bee brick, small additions that can make a meaningful difference to local biodiversity.

We’re now looking forward to seeing their ecological home designs and how they bring their ideas to life.

Something new is quietly taking shape in Fontwell…

Tucked away within a private setting, Stable Mews is a collection of just ten homes, designed with a considered approach that feels both timeless and individual.

From the very beginning, this has been about more than simply building houses. It’s about creating homes that sit comfortably within their surroundings, where traditional materials, thoughtful layouts and carefully planned landscaping come together to feel as though they’ve always belonged.

Our first street scenes have now arrived, offering a glimpse into what’s to come.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more—from individual homes and interiors to the story behind the design before our launch this summer.
