🔥 Capture Fumes at Source with the BOFA Mobile FumeKART

Processes such as plastic welding, heat forming, hot-air work and fabrication can generate fumes and airborne contaminants right where the operator is working. Effective local extraction helps capture these contaminants before they disperse throughout the workshop.

The Donaldson BOFA Mobile FumeKART, available from VODEX, brings extraction directly to the job. Its adjustable extraction arm can be positioned close to the process, while the mobile design makes it easy to move between workstations and different areas of a workshop.

One of the FumeKART’s biggest advantages is its multi-stage filtration, combining a pre-filter and HEPA filtration rated at 99.995% at 0.3 microns with a substantial 19-litre activated carbon filter for applications involving gases and vapours.

Delivering 223 cfm (380 m³/hr) of airflow with a typical operating noise level below 64 dB(A), it provides powerful extraction in a compact, portable package.

When working with priceless artefacts, historic documents and delicate collections, effective control of both airborne particles and chemical vapours can be essential.

The Donaldson BOFA Mobile FumeKART, available from Vodex, is a versatile, portable extraction system ideally suited to conservation workshops, museums and heritage environments.

At the heart of the system is a powerful multi-stage filtration setup, combining a pre-filter, high-efficiency HEPA filtration and a substantial 19-litre activated carbon filter. This allows the FumeKART to address fine particulates while also providing significant capacity for the control of gases and vapours.

Pickling is an essential part of Jewellery Making but the fumes don’t need to become part of your workshop environment. 💨💎

The VODEX FC5 Economy Fume Cabinet provides a compact and practical way to help control fumes generated during processes such as pickling, making it a great addition to a professional jewellery workshop.

Designed as a bench-mounted, recirculating fume cabinet, the FC5 captures harmful fumes through its filtration system before recirculating clean air back into the room. That means there’s no need to install expensive external ducting, making it particularly useful for workshops where space is limited or traditional extraction isn’t practical.

For jewellery pickling applications, the cabinet can be configured with an Acid filter, with a range of other filtration options also available depending on the processes taking place in your workshop.

The FC5 has also been designed with the day-to-day working environment in mind. Internal LED lighting illuminates the work area, while the stainless steel spill tray provides a practical work surface. A clear acrylic visor maintains visibility of the process, and the low-noise EC fan keeps operating noise to approximately 55dBA.

There’s safety monitoring built in too. If the face velocity falls below the required level, the low airflow alarm alerts the operator, providing an additional level of reassurance while working.

Available in 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm widths, there’s an FC5 configuration to suit different workshop spaces and equipment setups.
