💚 A day well spent supporting Riding for the Disabled

For the third year, colleagues from our technical team stepped away from their usual roles to spend the day volunteering with Wakefield Riding for the Disabled (RDA).

And they certainly got stuck in.

From clearing riding trails and removing potentially harmful ragwort to preparing the hay barn, reorganising storage and tidying a seating area used by people living with dementia, the team helped tackle a long list of jobs.

Their efforts will help Wakefield RDA continue to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children and adults who rely on its services.

Jim Cowell, Technical Director, said:

"It's great to see the team working together and using our time to support a charity that makes such a difference to people's lives."

Wakefield RDA described the team's support as "priceless", which says it better than we ever could.

Exciting news for the Group. Group and Dixon have been shortlisted as finalists for the SSI SCHÄFER Sustainable Supply Chain Award at .

The recognition celebrates an innovative partnership between Dixon and , part of the Group portfolio, which has seen Oasis® Welfare solar units deployed at scale across 146 UK construction projects.

Over two years, the fleet ran on renewable energy for almost 90% of the time, including through winter, helping to save £450,000 and avoid more than 1,000 tonnes of carbon by replacing diesel.

It’s a strong example of what can be achieved through partnership. By combining expertise and more sustainable solutions, we can turn sustainability ambitions into measurable impact and support the transition to net zero.

Patrick joins us with more than 30 years’ experience in quality, operational performance and continuous improvement. His appointment reflects our continued focus on delivering safe and sustainable modular places for customers that are operationally ready from day one.

Quality is about more than processes. It’s about creating consistency, improving the customer experience and ensuring every project is delivered to the high standards our customers expect.

Another important milestone reached at the West Berkshire Community Diagnostic Centre.

We recently marked the topping out of the new facility alongside our project partners, representatives from the Trust and the wider team helping bring it to life.

Geoff Fawkes, Sales, Marketing and Work Winning Director was joined by Nigel Graveson, Operations Director, James Methven, Project Director, colleagues from Philips Ron Russell, Paul Ringwald, Lisa Probert and representatives from the Trust, including Andy Statham, Chief Strategy Officer.

For the Trust, this is a project that has been many years in the making. Since the first module arrived on site on 19 May, the building has taken shape at pace, reflecting the expertise, commitment and collaboration of everyone involved.

Working together towards a shared goal, we are helping create a modern healthcare facility that will improve access to vital diagnostic services for communities across West Berkshire.

Thank you to everyone who has helped the project reach this important stage. We look forward to the next phase and seeing the facility become operational and begin making a difference for local patients.

⛳ Algeco team raises an incredible £72,000 for Ronald McDonald House UK

We’re proud to share that our Permanent Modular Construction team has helped raise an amazing £72,000 for Ronald McDonald House UK (RMH) through their annual charity golf day.

Now in its third year, the event brought together colleagues, customers, supply chain partners, sponsors and supporters in Manchester for a fantastic day of golf, networking and fundraising.

RMH provides vital support to families with sick or injured children, offering accommodation, meals and essential resources close to hospitals when families need it most.

Louise Firth, Director of Engagement at Ronald McDonald House UK, shared her thanks:

“Thanks to the generosity of Algeco, your colleagues, sub-contractors and guests, the event raised an outstanding amount of money that will help keep families close to their children during some of the toughest times of their lives.”
