Today we skimmed this bedroom after previously overboarding and skimming the ceilings throughout the property a few months ago. It’s always appreciated when customers come back to us for more work – a real sign that we’re doing things right.

Here’s a few photos of a job done a few weeks back.

Completely forgot to post them. This kitchen ceiling was done for a returning customer who was struggling to get the multiple layers of paper off the existing ceiling.

We’ve still got availability in June and July so don’t hesitate to call or message us today to get a free quote.

🔥 Another transformation completed and ready for paint! 🔥

This room had heavily artexed ceilings, damaged walls and plenty of loose plaster throughout. The customer wanted to keep the original coving, so we carefully overboarded the ceilings right up to the profile and skimmed flush for a clean modern finish 👌

✅ Artex ceilings fully overboarded
✅ Existing coving preserved
✅ Loose plaster removed throughout
✅ Dry lined where possible using leftover boards
✅ Walls floated back in
✅ Brand new beads fitted
✅ Full room professionally skimmed

Now left smooth, fresh and ready to decorate 🎨

So we started this one yesterday. Not only was it bank holiday but also the hottest day of the year so far.

Either way we battled through. Got the ceilings overboarded. Started to knock the loose off and a lot more came off than I anticipated. That didn’t stop us we still managed overcome this problem and get the room prepped.

This morning we got up. Went to wickes as we always do. Loaded up finish for today. Got to the job didn’t last bit of prep and started to sbr the walls where existing was. At this point the sbr was drying instantly and leaving the walls with a dusty surface still.

This resulted in us making the decision that today the conditions just weren’t right to skim the room.

We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service we can and unfortunately in the heat today it just didn’t feel like we could provide that.

Sometimes you’ve got to make decision that will inevitably have a knock on effect of the rest of your week but you can sit back knowing you make the right decision. 😊👌
