A Little Team Insight 🤩 (Sophie, Commercial Director)
3 years ago today, I took a leap of faith that changed my life. ❤️
I walked away from a job of 20 years. A job I had grown up in, a career that had shaped so much of who I was, a group of people I had surrounded myself with for two decades, and sadly, a company I no longer recognised.
For the first time in my working life, I experienced the fear of redundancy. Not once, but twice in just 3 months!
And yes, I say fear, because at the time it was terrifying. The uncertainty, the worry, the thought of starting again after 20 years. Everything I had ever known professionally was suddenly changing.
But sometimes, the things that scare us the most turn out to be the things we need the most.
I took that leap and joined our family business as a Director. A business my amazing husband had spent almost 17 years building through hard work, determination and sheer dedication.
And looking back now? It was the best thing that could have happened to me. To us. To our family. ❤️
Three years on, I've grown in ways I never imagined. I've challenged myself, stepped outside my comfort zone, learnt more than I thought possible and discovered a whole new level of passion, drive and determination.
It hasn't always been easy. Running a business certainly comes with its own challenges, long days, sleepless nights and plenty of lessons along the way. But the pride I feel in what we're building together makes every bit of it worthwhile.
Turning the FEAR into FIERCE! 💪🔥
If there's one thing these last three years have taught me, it's this...
Take that leap. Accept the unknown. Open yourself up to change. Believe in yourself, even when you're scared.
Don't let the fear of leaving something familiar stop you from finding something extraordinary.
Sometimes you have to close a chapter you thought you'd be in forever to discover that your best chapters haven't even been written yet.
Here's to 3 years of growth, resilience, new beginnings and building something we're incredibly proud of.
