The press makes easy work of this 1 inch stock - drawing it out ready to hand forge the ram. Definitely a game changer to help with some projects.

From a straight bar of steel to a finished chain, one link at a time. ⛓️🔥
Every link is heated in the forge, shaped by hand and joined before moving on to the next. No shortcuts, no factory production - just traditional blacksmithing and a lot of patience.
It’s amazing how many individual steps go into creating something as simple as a chain.

This is such a proud moment for us. We have officially sold out of festival weekend tickets!!

This is our 3rd year doing this little festival in the Peak District ran by a very small hard working team. Thank you so much to everyone for supporting our festival and we cannot wait to welcome you all in 13 days!

Got stuck in the mud 🤎, set up in the rain 🌧️ , but now the sun is out ☀️, surrounded by lovely people and aside from being a bit windy 🌬️ it’s a glorious day to be forging outdoors 🔥🤠 we’re here with the stall and mobile forge for the weekend at the Green Oaks Gathering - come along if you can

The Faces Behind the Forge

We’re getting around a bit now, but if you are new to Hillbilly Forge, meet the maker - Graham and his side kick (also known as - wife😜) Emily.

We are passionate about what we do and love to chat and share the craft through Grahams work and blacksmithing sessions - out on the road and back in our home forge!

Next event Greenoaks Gathering this coming weekend and we are bringing the fire for taster sessions, and the trading post will have a selection of our hand forged range for sale 🤠

Xander, our Hillbilly hound, will be joining us this weekend - he loves to be out on the road as much as we do 🐾🐾
