Works are continuing at the Polurrian on the Lizard Hotel in Mullion as part of the overall redevelopment and improvement programme at the site, whilst the hotel remains open for business and continues to host regular weddings and events.

Recent activity has included the completion of piling works and the main external retaining structure, separate to the existing main buildings. The steel frame is also progressing, with pre-cast stair elements and lift shaft now being introduced to the site.

The project remains a carefully managed live construction environment, with the team continuing to coordinate activity on site while being mindful of the hotel’s setting, its guests, event visitors and the surrounding community. We will continue to share measured updates as the redevelopment progresses.

We are delighted to welcome Charli Woollacott to Nevada Construction as our new Apprentice Site Manager.

Charli joins the team as she begins an exciting step in her construction career, developing her skills on site and gaining hands-on experience across project delivery, site coordination, health and safety, and working closely with our project teams.

In parallel with her continuing academic studies, Charli will be supporting site operations, learning from our experienced managers, and building the practical knowledge needed to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the high standards that we strive to deliver.

Progress continues at our Hyve by Prime site in Truro, with the development moving through an important stage of delivery.

Recent works have seen strong progress across all blocks, with roofing, internal fit-out, façade works and service installations all advancing on site. The latest aerial images show the form of the development becoming increasingly defined, with activity continuing across multiple work areas.

The project is also supporting the next generation of construction talent, with T-level students attending site each week and work experience placements taking place across the programme. With both cranes in operation and the programme continuing to move forward, Hyve is taking shape as a prominent new development in Truro.

We are delighted to announce some exciting promotions within the company as we welcome Steve Holcombe, Colin Aldworth, and Mark Jones onto the Board of Directors. This is an exciting moment for as the addition of three new directors doubles the size of our board and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the business.

Steve has been appointed Commercial Director and will lead the entire commercial side of the business, driving growth, performance, and excellence across all commercial operations.

Colin and Mark will take on key leadership roles across Operations and Health & Safety, helping to coordinate our regions and strengthen the way we work together across the company.

These promotions will also allow Bob, Dave, and Richard to have a stronger focus on their Executive Director responsibilities and continue leading the strategic direction and long-term vision of Nevada.

This is a fantastic milestone for the company, and we ask everyone to join us in congratulating Steve, Colin, and Mark, and to support them as they step into these exciting new roles.
