A different angle on precision

Sometimes the beauty of a tool is not just in what it does, but in how it looks when you stop and really study it.
In the latest post in our Art of Tooling series, we take an abstract view of a Quickgrind single flute router. Photographed end-on, the image transforms a practical cutting tool into something far more unexpected, turning geometry, symmetry and light into a striking visual.

UWR Racing: You’re invited to Oulton Park for Round 2!

Following a strong start to the 2026 Fine Cut Radical Cup UK season at Brands Hatch, Quickgrind is inviting clients, partners and motorsport fans to join us in supporting the University of Wolverhampton Racing Team at Round 2, taking place at Oulton Park International on Saturday 20 June.

Why not come along, meet the team, enjoy a great day of racing and see first-hand the kind of next-generation engineering talent Quickgrind is proud to support.

As you can see from the photos from Brands Hatch, the opening round delivered plenty of excitement, including strong pace, competitive racing and a well-earned podium finish for UWR Racing. It was a great start to the campaign, and a clear sign of the preparation, precision and teamwork going into this season.

Now attention turns to Oulton Park, one of the UK’s most exciting and challenging circuits. Fast, flowing and technical, it promises to be another brilliant test for the team, both on track and behind the scenes.
