A look back at some of the show homes we’ve had the pleasure of working on over the years. 🏡

A show home is a fully finished and furnished property designed to give potential buyers a feel for what their future home could look like.

Across these developments, our team has carried out a variety of works, from drylining and decoration to fire stopping and flooring, helping bring these properties from building sites to finished homes.

It’s always rewarding to see the finished result, especially after watching these sites progress through the different stages of construction.

Swipe through for a look at some of the projects we’ve been part of!

How much does it actually cost to carpet a bedroom?

Well, there’s a little more to it than just the price of the carpet itself.

First, you’ll need to measure your room to work out how much carpet is required.

Then there’s the materials, as well as your chosen carpet, you’ll need underlay, gripper and a door bar to get everything properly fitted and finished.

And finally, there’s the cost of professional fitting.

We’ve put together an offer that takes care of the lot for just £249!

Here’s what’s included:
✔️ Innovation Twist carpet: Stainproof, hardwearing and available in a range of neutral colours.
✔️ 8mm PU foam underlay
✔️ Gripper
✔️ 1 x door bar
✔️ Professional fitting

All for just £249, based on a 3m x 4m room!

Two carpets might look very similar, but that doesn’t mean they’ll perform the same way in your home.

There’s a lot more to choosing a carpet than just finding the right colour, and some of the biggest differences aren’t always obvious at first glance.

Here’s what to consider:
🧶 Fibre type: Wool, polypropylene, polyester or nylon? Each has different qualities when it comes to softness, durability, stain resistance and maintenance.

Pile density: A denser pile can help a carpet retain its appearance and withstand everyday foot traffic.

Tog rating: Carpets vary in how much warmth they retain, something particularly worth considering if you have underfloor heating.

Twist or saxony: The construction of the pile affects how a carpet looks, feels and wears over time.

Stain resistance: Some carpets are designed to be bleach-cleanable, while others require more specialist care.

Our carpets start from just £8.99 per m², there’s something to suit every home & budget.

A new site and a new working relationship we’re really pleased to be starting! 👏

We’ve recently begun work with Persimmon Homes at their Kings Meadows development, taking on the Drylining and Decoration for Phase 2, covering a total of 88 plots.

We’re off to a great start, with the first four plots drylined and mist coating now underway.

It’s particularly nice to be working on a project so close to home, and alongside a great site team who have made us feel really welcome.

A big thank you to Persimmon for the opportunity and for putting their trust in OTB.

We’re really looking forward to building on this new relationship and seeing the development take shape over the coming months! 👏
