We were delighted to be appointed to improve accessibility at Fakenham Church, creating a welcoming entrance for all visitors through the careful installation of a new access ramp and handrails.

Working with historic buildings requires a sensitive approach, balancing the preservation of heritage with the needs of modern users. Our experience in caring for and adapting historic structures makes us particularly well suited to projects like this, where every detail must complement the character and significance of the building.

The finished result is both practical and sympathetic to the church's historic setting, providing safe and dignified access for those with disabilities while respecting the architectural heritage of this important community building.

Accessibility is something that should never be overlooked, and we're pleased to see it being given the attention it deserves. We are proud to have played a part in making Fakenham Church more accessible for everyone.

As we restore the cupola at St Giles, Norwich, it’s wonderful to reflect on the craftsmen who worked on it before us. These photographs connect us directly with the carpenters of 1953 — the year of Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation.

It’s a privilege to continue their work more than 70 years later.

We would love to hear from anyone who has a connection to James Copland, Gordon Mooney, or Ronald Gilmore, or who may know more about their involvement with the project. Please get in touch and help us share their story.

Our team is proud to have assembled both of the only NUR-HOLZ buildings currently in the UK.

Manufactured in Germany and imported by Bright Forest, the NUR-HOLZ system uses solid timber panels connected with patented wooden dowels, creating a completely natural, glue-free construction method with exceptional thermal and structural performance.

Being involved in projects like these is a great example of how modern timber construction is evolving — combining traditional natural materials with advanced engineering and offsite precision.

Excited to continue supporting innovative low-carbon building methods across the UK.

Even in less-than-perfect conditions, it’s great to see the precision and speed that comes with this method of construction. Manufactured from solid timber and connected using patented wooden dowels rather than glue or metal fixings, the NUR-HOLZ system delivers a natural, sustainable, and high-performance building solution.

We’re pleased to welcome Ed Dixon to the team as a Project Manager.

Ed brings around 20 years of experience in the construction industry.

With a practical, hands-on background, Ed combines on-site experience with strong leadership credentials, including an NVQ Level 7 in Senior Construction Management and a degree in Leadership and Management from UEA. His experience spans both site and project management roles across contractor and client-side environments.

Ed particularly enjoys the problem-solving side of construction and is drawn to projects that are challenging, unique and a little different from the norm.
