We never said it was completely "service free"
We say "service free for 5 years"...
We'll own that difference, because it's the whole point.
"Service free" with no timeframe is a marketing line.
"Service free for 5 years" is a commitment we're prepared to put a number on.
One of those you can hold a supplier to, the other you can't.
LEIBINGER can make that claim in the first place, the ink system can be completely sealed, so there's limited solvent evaporation.
The printhead and core components are built to run without intervention for years, not months.
Saying "service free" costs nothing. Building a printer that actually earns that claim, for a defined period, with a manufacturer standing behind it...that's the harder version. That's the one we sell.
If a supplier says "service free" or "maintenance free" with no timeframe attached, it's worth asking them why they left it off😉
