Daikin welcomes the new Warm Homes Loan Scheme, a step that can help households spread the cost of installing heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage with no- and low-interest loans.

The scheme supports up to £20,000 for air-to-water heat pumps and £35,000 for ground source systems, with some lenders offering repayment terms up to 30 years.

Heat pump installs funded this way must be MCS certified, and eligible households may combine the loan with a Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant (subject to lender terms).

While this is a positive step, Daikin is calling for clearer certainty around future home heating support. Terms and eligibility depend on participating lenders. MCS certification is required for heat pump installations.
