Bodywork / Fabricator wanted
Turner Commercials Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Bodywork / Fabricator to join our team.
We specialise in commercial vehicles and are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship and can work confidently as part of a busy workshop team.
The Role
As a Bodywork / Fabricator Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, modifying and fabricating commercial vehicle bodies and associated components. The role will involve a variety of work, so attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out repairs and fabrication work on commercial vehicle bodies.
Welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication of steel and aluminium components.
Repair and manufacture vehicle body panels, frames and structures.
Interpret drawings and measurements accurately.
Carry out modifications and bespoke fabrication work where required.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Follow all company health & safety procedures.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience in commercial vehicle bodywork, fabrication or a similar role.
Strong welding and fabrication skills.
Good knowledge of workshop tools and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in their workmanship.
The ability to diagnose problems and find practical solutions.
A positive attitude and reliable approach to work.
The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards.
Relevant qualifications or experience in fabrication/bodywork would be advantageous.
A full UK driving licence would be an advantage.
