🌊 It’s been an incredibly busy few weeks at the harbour as the leisure season hits full stride!

Yacht traffic continues to rise, with visitors arriving from USA, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, and an increasing number from across the UK. The pontoons have been buzzing with activity and it’s been fantastic welcoming so many new and returning guests.

On the commercial front, the pace hasn’t slowed either. Cargo vessels Northern Rock, Arctic Rock, and Monika have all been in port recently, delivering onshore wind turbine components to support ongoing renewable energy projects in the region.

We also welcomed Baltic Jongleurs, bringing in a fresh cargo of lime — always appreciated by our local farming community.

Our Crew Transfer Vessels are in the thick of their usual summer campaign work, keeping busy with operations out at the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm.

Subsea 7 recently successfully carried out their pipeline float‑out, supported by vessels Green Isle and Northerly Explorer.

Adding to the variety, we also had the unmanned survey craft XOcean in the harbour, accompanied by its support vessel Reul Na Mara, carrying out survey work in the area.

Today we welcome the Lord of the Highlands calling to Wick as part of their summer itinerary.

Plenty more to come as the season continues — but for now, we’re enjoying the energy, the activity, and the steady stream of vessels calling in. ⚓

What a fantastic start to the 2026 leisure season here in Wick. Local vessels are already making the most of the better weather, and we’re thrilled to have welcomed early visitors from across the UK — and even from Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, France and the USA.

Mark your calendars for RNLI Wick Lifeboat Harbour Day -
20 June 2026. RNLI Wick Lifeboat
A day full of family activities, music, food, emergency‑service displays and the rare chance to step aboard the Roy Barker II. Plus fresh fish, a raffle and plenty of harbour‑side atmosphere.

A brilliant day out supporting our lifeboat crew and celebrating our harbour community.
