Today marks the start of World Green Building Week 2026 – the World Green Building Council's annual global campaign for a more sustainable built environment.

This year's theme, , asks how we can make buildings ready for what comes next – more resilient, more efficient and better prepared for future opportunities.

For existing buildings, that doesn't necessarily mean starting again.

Understanding how a building is performing, controlling it effectively and using its operational data to identify opportunities for improvement can all help reduce unnecessary energy use and improve performance.

Across 4energy group, our teams bring together complementary expertise to help make that happen.

System Five designs, delivers, maintains and optimises BEMS, helping ensure buildings and their services are controlled effectively.

analytics4energy turns building and energy data into meaningful insight, helping identify inefficiencies and opportunities for ongoing improvement.

Together, it's about getting more from the buildings, systems and data we already have – and helping make existing buildings ready for what's next.

Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

Today, some of the four-legged members of the team are taking over our socials.

From beach walks and favourite toys to stolen socks, window watching and a serious talent for sleeping, meet the pooches who keep our team company away from work. 🐶

A big thank you to everyone who shared their photos with us - we think they deserve their moment in the spotlight!

Happy International Dog Day to pooches everywhere!

What can a solar eclipse tell us about the way buildings perform?

Tomorrow's partial solar eclipse will be spectacular to watch, but it's also an opportunity for scientists to observe what happens when sunlight and environmental conditions change unusually quickly.

And that's where there's an interesting connection with smart buildings.

BEMS continually monitor changing conditions and respond to them, while the data generated helps us understand how a building is actually performing.

At System Five, we design, deliver, maintain and optimise BEMS to effectively control and monitor building services.

At analytics4energy, we take the data generated by buildings and turn it into meaningful insight, helping identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve performance.

So, while scientists will be watching closely to see what the eclipse can tell us, we'll be interested in what the buildings have to say too.
If you'd like to understand more about what your building data could be telling you, get in touch with us at 4energy group.

And if you're watching the eclipse, enjoy the spectacle, but please do it safely with approved eclipse glasses or a pinhole viewer – your eyes will thank you!

Supporting our clients to reduce energy use and carbon emissions is part of what we do every day.

It's only right that we continue looking for ways to improve our own environmental performance too.

That's why we're pleased to welcome the latest addition to our fleet - a fully electric Kia PV5.

Purpose-built for commercial use, it gives our engineers a comfortable, practical and reliable vehicle while helping us reduce emissions from our day-to-day operations. It's also a nice bonus that it was crowned both 2026 Van of the Year and Compact Van of the Year.

Now comes the important challenge… seeing how long it stays looking this shiny!

Located in the heart of Belgravia, Radstock House is one of the latest additions to Flex by Grosvenor - approximately 14,000 sq. ft. of premium workspace offering hospitality-style service, flexible occupation and a rooftop terrace overlooking the London skyline.

As part of the www.grosvenor.com vision to create more sustainable, future-ready buildings, Radstock House has been de-gassed and transitioned to an all-electric building.

System Five Projects was proud to deliver the Building Energy Management System (BEMS) that underpins the building's environmental systems, working alongside www.mcsmc.co.uk, www.castinteriors.uk, Daikin UK and www.aqualeak.com

Using Trend Controls IQ5, we integrated and commissioned the building's key mechanical systems, bringing together heating, ventilation, air conditioning, leak detection, energy metering and environmental monitoring into one intelligent platform.

One particularly interesting aspect of the project was the enhanced indoor environmental monitoring, including CO₂, particulate matter (PM2.5), VOCs, temperature and humidity. This gives facilities teams greater insight into building performance while helping create comfortable, healthy spaces for the people who use them every day.

It's the kind of engineering most people never see - but it quietly helps buildings operate more efficiently, supports occupant wellbeing and gives facilities teams the information they need to keep everything running smoothly.

We're proud that System Five Projects played a part in bringing another outstanding London workplace to life.

Seven minutes very well spent.

This beautiful film from www.wre.london captures the care, craftsmanship and collaboration behind the restoration and refurbishment of Arding & Hobbs, recently recognised with a prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects National Award.

System Five, a 4energy group company, are proud to have played our part behind the scenes, delivering the building management systems that help this remarkable building operate effectively. It may be one of the less visible elements of a restoration, but it is vital to the building’s ongoing performance.

Congratulations to WRE, Stiff + Trevillion, www.knightharwood.com and everyone involved in bringing this exceptional project back to life.

Watch the full film from WRE by clicking the image below (or head over to their Instagram page .relondon) it really will improve your day!

Our annual Summer Social was a fantastic afternoon of sunshine, good food and even better company.

One of the unique things about our HQ is the large field right outside the office, making it the perfect setting for a summer BBQ, shaded seating, bouncy castles, an inflatable football pitch (making its Summer Social debut!) and, of course, an epic game of rounders to round off the day.

With many of our engineers and teams working on customer sites across the UK, opportunities like this are incredibly valuable. It's a chance to step away from the day job, catch up with colleagues, meet each other's families and simply enjoy spending time together.

It wouldn't be a Summer Social without plenty to keep everyone entertained, from the younger guests (and a few four-legged ones too!) to the grown-ups, with a well-stocked tuck shop and a surprise visit from the ice cream van proving especially popular in the hot weather.

A huge thank you to our event organisers and to everyone who came along from System Five Service, System Five Projects. analytics4energy and 4energy group and made it such a great success. Here's to doing it all again next year!

This week, colleagues from both our Projects and Service teams came together for specialist Legionella Awareness training, delivered by GES Water.

The training kept up us to date with the health risks associated with Legionella, current legislation, the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice L8, duty holder responsibilities and effective risk management.

A big thank you to the team at GES Water for delivering an informative and engaging session.

Net Zero Week is a reminder that achieving net zero depends on engineering, not aspiration.

This year's theme, "Unlocking Collective Intelligence", recognises that meaningful progress comes from combining engineering expertise, digital technology and operational data to deliver measurable outcomes.

▶️ At System Five PROJECTS, we design and deliver intelligent BEMS that provide the foundation for efficient building performance.

▶️ System Five SERVICE helps customers maintain, optimise and continually improve those systems to ensure they perform as intended.

▶️ analytics4energy then transforms operational data into actionable insights, helping organisations identify further opportunities to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and operating costs.

These different disciplines within the 4energy group family share one objective: helping buildings operate more intelligently, efficiently and sustainably.

Today we're proud to support International Women in Engineering Day 2026 and this year's theme,

Engineering is about far more than technology. It is about curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and the ability to turn ideas into real-world solutions.

While women remain underrepresented across many engineering disciplines, initiatives such as INWED continue to shine a spotlight on the opportunities available and encourage more girls and young women to explore careers in STEM.

Across our businesses, we're fortunate to work alongside talented women such as, Victoria Cooper, Special Projects Manager, Charlotte Bottle, Service Operations Manager, Madison Strange, Project Administrator and Jessica Rees, Project Engineer, who are helping to shape the future of our industry in different ways and at different stages of their careers.

Today's engineers are solving tomorrow's challenges. The more diverse the talent entering the profession, the stronger those solutions will be.
