Good morning from Cumbria Profiling 👋

It's a wet start to the day here in Cumbria, but that won't be slowing us down! The machines are warmed up, the coffee's brewing, and we're ready for another busy day in the workshop.

This component may look simple, but it features a 1mm diameter hole cut through 10mm thick Aluminium 5083—a great example of the precision our fibre laser is capable of achieving.

It's often the smallest details that showcase the biggest capabilities.

After months of planning, logistics, infrastructure work and installation… our new Bodor fibre laser is now in, commissioned and running — and we couldn’t be happier with the results so far.

This investment significantly strengthens our profiling capability and allows us to offer:

•4m x 2m cutting area
•Cutting up to 30mm thick
• Increased profiling capacity
• Faster turnaround times
• Improved accuracy on complex stainless and aluminium parts
• Greater efficiency across production

It’s been great to see the whole project finally come together, from groundwork and preparation through to installation, training and first cuts.
