A fantastic farm walk on LIC customers Joe and Michael Murphy’s farm in Kilkenny.

It was great to hear their journey from new entrants in 2019 to achieving an impressive 553kg of milk solids and ranking in the top 10% of Tirlán milk producers. A great insight into their progress, performance and success! 👏🐄

🏆Congratulations to LIC customer and Arratipp Co-op Milk Supplier of the Year 2026 Carol & Simon Breen who held a Datamars Livestock open day yesterday on their farm in Emly.

Breen’s achieved 501kgs of MS/cow in 2025 from just feeding 708kg meal in the parlour, consistently achieving 4% protein and 5.06% fat. They are in the top 10% for EBI in their co op.

Breen’s also won the Lowest Carbon Footprint award, at the recent NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards held in Kilkenny last week.

ArraTipp wishes to congratulate our milk supplier Simon Breen who won the Lowest Carbon Footprint award, at the recent NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards, held in the Lyrate Hotel in Kilkenny, Wednesday 30th September.

Simon Breen and his family were one of 12 finalists who were shortlisted for the NDC and Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards 2026, which sets out to find and celebrate the top quality milk farmers in Ireland.

As LIC continues to grow in Ireland, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially driven Breeding Advisor to join our team.

This is a field-based sales and business development role, primarily covering Tipperary, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly and Galway, working directly with dairy farmers to help them achieve their breeding and herd improvement goals.

We’re looking for someone who:
🐄 Has a good understanding of Irish dairy farming
🤝 Enjoys getting out on farm and building relationships with farmers
📈 Is commercially minded and motivated to develop new business
🧬 Has an interest in dairy genetics, breeding and herd improvement
🚗 Is comfortable managing and travelling throughout their own territory

Previous agricultural sales, advisory or farmer-facing experience would be a real advantage, but an agricultural qualification isn’t essential where you have relevant industry experience.
